Went down with my 3 teens, husband and father in law for our first hog hunting experience, best experience we've ever had hunting. The entire weekend was great and we will definitely be back. Thank you Hunter for having an amazing place to create memories while having a blast!

From the moment we arrived till the very moment we left the staff was there for you. Check in was flawless and the guides (Leroy) knows his stuff and the same with the other guides. The food from the cooks was amazing. From a person who has spent many hours in the woods hunting animals in Ohio, hunting in Alabama at GSO is an experience I’ll be back for. Every question from Leroy was answered perfectly and left me with no doubt of how to make sure my hunt was successful. Heading north with 2 hogs in the coolers makes it all worth it. For anyone thinking or planning a trip, one thing I suggest is to trust and listen to your guides. They will put you on them hogs and are just as excited as you when you get one down.

The food lodging and hospitality was great the hunting not so much 3 of us went down for a 3 day deer rifle hunt and seen 0 hogs and little to no deer at all I was able to harvest a doe. None of us seen any shooter bucks 13 people in camp with us not one buck killed. The treestands were run down I was told on two occasions that I needed to check the stand before I got in as it had not been checked yet to see if straps were good or not and 1 box blind the chair was broke and full of bees nests and debris I had to remove myself Noone had checked it yet that year.

My father-in-law wanted to take me here for my first time hunting and he could not have picked a better place. The food and lodging were great, staff were incredible, and I saw more deer than I could keep count of. I was nervous about how boring it could get sitting in the woods for hours, but I was fortunate enough to see so much activity and it was addicting to just sit and stare waiting for the next movement. On the last morning, I was lucky enough to get a 190lb 11 point buck and the whole experience was just amazing and exceeded all my expectations. Chase, our guide, was great to have. He had trail cameras and knew where the deer were seen recently and where to go to have a good opportunity. He was also super helpful with taking care of my buck and he's even mounting it for me. Hunter really knows his property and the deer patterns. It was clear that his main goal was for everyone to have a great time and really roots for you to get that trophy buck of your dreams. We will definitely be going back!

JD said we would come back ‘Fat and Happy’ and that’s just what we did after returning from Great Southern Outdoors on 1/15/22! I booked this trip hoping to make a few memories with my 14yo son and take him on his first quail hunt, and boy did GSO deliver! Our guide, Hunter, provided a first class experience on our 2 hunts, and showcased some of the finest dogs I have hunted over. The food was nothing short of amazing, and the staff catered to our every need. The rooms were very clean, well appointed and comfortable. We truly enjoyed ourselves and met some fine folks in the process. Thank you JD, Hunter, Chase (Chester, haha), Rex, Steve, his sister 🤣 and the entire GSO team for a great time. We will see you again!

I just returned home from a 3 day hunt down their (12-27-21 to 12-30-21). Rooms were nice, food was good, hospitality was great. JD in the office was very helpful and informative from the moment I contacted her. I was fortunate enough to harvest 2 hogs, one 217 pound sow. Temps were way up in the 70's so the deer weren't moving much although I did see a couple smaller bucks. Our guide (Leroy) was just straight up awesome, he never gave up trying to put us on a big buck. He took care of my hogs and was a pleasure to chat with. The place is worth a visit and I will surely be returning. Thanks to all of you at Great Southern Outdoors!

To say we had an experience of a lifetime is a true understatement. Grayson and myself had the best time of our lives together hunting. Seeing the pure joy of my son when he was able to squeeze the trigger on his first buck was something that I will never forget for my lifetime. We thought he made a good shot on it, and I never like not finding a deer, but what you guys did for us in help trying to find that buck I will forever be thankful to you all. I pray that the buck did not suffer or has the chance to heal up so he can bring joy to another hunter. Great Southern Outdoors will be a place that we visit for many years to come. Your hospitality and pure joy for the outdoors is what I love. From the bottom of my heart I thank you all. May God bless you all in the New Year and Grayson and I cannot wait to get back next year and do it all again with you all.

My dad and I just returned from our second hog hunt at Great Southern Outdoors. Three days and two hogs later we've got more memories of another awesome trip. We've really enjoyed the people (staff) on both trips. Hunter (owner) and his wife Haley are a blast to talk with. JD and our guide Chase really made the trip another fun experience. Chase has his own cellular cameras in the woods and knows what/where/when things are happening. This is a 6000 acre plantation. There's no guarantee you'll get a hog because you're actually hunting hogs and not buying a hog like some other places might try and sell. This makes it the real-deal as far as we're concerned. We're also happy to help the state of Alabama deal with their feral hog problems. :) The rooms are comfortable, the food is excellent, and we really enjoy our time hanging in the lodge between hunts. We're already talking about doing another trip. Hope to see y'all there. Cheers!
