Very friendly staff. Very clean. Good vintage historic building atmosphere. Cool art and really good breakfast food and earl grey tea.

My mocha had a nice tight microfoam even with oat milk. Not oversweetened, it really allowed the quality of the chocolate and coffee to shine through. After spending about 3 seconds not sure how to feel about the thick cut avocado toast that looked to be 80% bread, I quickly realized the bread was actually the star of the show. Wide open crumb sourdough withe a super chewy but also soft interior with serious crust. This is bread you dream about the next day.

Best coffee in Humboldt County. Great employees, great service, great atmosphere. They try to locally source as many products as they can which is great. I highly recommend stopping by.

Beautiful cafe in historic hotel, great indoor seating and ambiance. Small batch pastries, local roasted coffee- awesome cappuccino, hot chocolate and lattes. Breakfast: granola parfaits, chilaquiles, sandwiches, toast; avocado, banana almond, mushroom and more; soup and salad. Great place to visit, for conversation, tea coffee and pastries… cool place to watch old town.

Local ingredients, high quality coffee, and a beautiful historic location. They use Humboldt beans, have fun specialty drinks and overall good vibes. Also loved their vegan cookies! Dine in: Yes Takeout: Yes … More

The ambiance, the coffee, the food and the staff are all suburb! I had the prosciutto toast (pictured here) and one of the best Americanos I’ve ever had. I even grabbed a chocolate chip sea salt cookie to enjoy later. I can’t wait for my next trip in.

Local, fresh, organic, delicious! Come for the coffee, stay for the food! One of the few places in Humboldt to serve up a legit cappuccino. Lovely cold brew really gets you going. Local chai is also perfect. BTW, they use really fabulous milk! I adore the house made granola & yogurt! Winner! All the baked goods are epic, ie salted chocolate chip cookie is chewy and crisp. The seasonal salad is huge, excellent dressing & filling in the best sort of salad-y way. Don’t get me started on the chilaquiles *so fabulous* maybe our favorite in all of NorCal! The toast options are nice too. I love their commitment to sustainable, local & ethical choices. This is a model business and we love them! Lastly, great staff: friendly, professional and prompt!

Another 5 star review ... but a well deserved one, as long as you aren't in a hurry! Great coffee, great toast (we had two different ones for breakfast). Although it's currently a "to go" place, you can sit and eat in the hotel's lobby.

Very cute location, also nice street to walk around and close to the bay. Great service from nice staff who’s all wearing masks 🙏🏻 we got a bunch of stuff. Coffee was pretty good and the avocado toast was yammy and fresh! The salad that came with the frittata was really fresh with nice added veggies which I appreciated. One start down because the granola was pretty small for the price ($8.50), also asked if they can add Chèvre to the avo toast (which they had on the menu) and they said they couldn’t, weird. Also everything comes in to go containers so even if you eat there that’s a lot of waste, at least most of it is compostable. The menu is not updated online so you might not find what you were hoping for...

The coffee shop I've so desperately needed in my life! Finally a place where I can grab a slice of toast and a damn fine cup of coffee! I've eaten here multiple times in the first week and I am so excited to see where they go from here. Staff is awesome, food is great, and the coffee is exceptional + historic hotel lobby (drool emoji). Show them some love, they deserve it.
