Beautiful river canyon with huge trout! Be prepared: 1N10 is a dirt road that allows only one car passage. Make sure your car is ready and has enough height to go over rocks. Verizon reception goes as far as the first mile on that road

This area was burned in 2013. You can access the river from the trail, and there is probably good fishing, but this is not the best hike. There isn't very much shade, and it's largely overgrown with poison oak. In late March 2018 there were many downed trees on/near the trail, that required a lot of scrambling. It is very close to the Lumsden campground, and we saw some wildlife (mostly birds and snakes).
