I would move to the pretty little town of Georgetown just to knit with the owner. She is so helpful and interesting to talk with about the craft. The yarns are beautiful too. Definitely worth visiting!

Disappointed she is not going to carry fabric any longer. Had very small selection to choose from. BUT will continue as a yarn shop which she had a very large selection from whT I cod see. Very cute shop and recommend for people who crochet or knit.

I had heard about The Quilted Purl on a Pinterest post. I was apprehensive at first because I am a new knitter. My apprehension quickly disappeared when I met the owner. She is one of the kindest people I have met. She helped me select the yarn that I needed, and showed me how to complete the project I had in mind. She also showed me a few quilting projects. It was such a great visit, the store is in a 1870’s-ish house with an adorable patio to sit on. I wish I lived nearby so I could visit more often!

While visiting Georgetown, my mom and I wanted to visit the Quilted Purl to pick out a gift for a family member who loves to quilt and sew. Ruth was so kind to let us make an appointment to shop, as she is currently limited to private appointments due to Covid. Her covid precautions were much appreciated - only one person in shop, masks required, hand sanitizer upon entry. Her selection of yarns and fabric was fantastic! I even purchased some yarn and needles to attempt a project myself.

I have to say, this shop and its owner Ruth are both amazing! My wife and I were simply enthralled at the wide selection of high quality skeins of yarn in nearly any color we could think of or wish for. On top of that, there are several hand-knitted items available for sale that also help demonstrate what your final project might look like with a certain color. As for Ruth, she was incredibly kind and helpful in showing us colors we may like based on our preferences. She also gave me a knitting recipe and multiple suggestions for making a knit cap that I will most definitely use and make sure to pass on. Although this shop is slightly off if the main street in Georgetown, I feel like it will become a regular stop for us whenever we visit! We love it!

Loved, loved, loved this little shop! Must be a Mecca for yarn enthusiasts, and there was a lovely selection of fabric. The overall theme of the shop felt very vintage and the owner was absolutely delightful. This store is well worth a stop for anyone traveling nearby.

Great little yarn/quilt shop. High end fibers and great fabrics. A little treasure spot for sure. Worth the journey into the mountains. And the owner is very friendly and knowledgeable.
