I’ve had different experiences each time I’ve been, each fairly mediocre. You do not get your moneys worth - 3 oxtail bones in a meal smh. My beef patty meat wasn’t cooked all the way through today. It’s definitely not the best Jamaican spot in Tampa but if you’re in Town N Country usually the only available on Uber Eats.

Great price, good amount of food, quick takeout process, ordered and left within 5mins, delicious food! Will be back!

My wife and I enjoyed the best Jamaican food that we have ever eaten at Jamaica Jamaica Island. I had the jerk chicken which was far better than I have ever had. My wife had a delicious vegan stew. I also enjoyed a ginger infused passion fruit drink that they make. To top it all off I had a slice of dark rum cake. And yes it's amazing! The place is small but clean and comfortable. We dined in while there was a steady stream of people getting food to go. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will be back. It's not too far from the Costco we shop at.

Excellent food & customer service. Food is served piping hot and the portions are huge! Tasty and beautifully presented. The best Jamaican food around in my honest & humble opinion.

After reading reviews I decided to try this place. I am disappointed. The oxtails and cabbage was salty. No flavor, just salty. Is there a certain time that I should eat here? Because apparently today wasn't the day. 6/25/22 8:30pm

We Order take out from Jamaica Jamaica today. It was very good. I had a beef patty, jerk fish, rice and beans with fried sweet plantains and a side of cabbage. What I loved about the fish is they gave you the whole fish, head and all!!! I best enjoy my fish when it's prepared in that fashion. The only down fall is my husband waited almost an hour for the food to be prepared after he called it in. The customer service was excellent, but the timeliness was a little off. Time plays a big part when considering where to go for dinner especially if you have to go to work. So all in all I score this restaurant a 4 5/5 on the GEMS of Tampa score card. We chose this restaurant thinking it would be a quicker dinner option for the night but this time it wasn't. It's also Friday night so we will try back on a different night to see if our experience is different or the same. Also the food 😋 😍 👌 😌.... Very tasty, dinner was well enjoyed.

I thought by asking them if the oxtail was tough, I would get a better outcome. 🚫 NOT! SUPER TOUGH and I only had 3 prices! They also gave me a plate of bones. The flavor was very tasty but will NEVER GIVE THEM ANOTHER CHANCE! They are not the only Jamaican that has a business in Maryland!

Whenever i'm in the mood for some really good curry goat, this is my go to spot! The entire dish is fantastic, this includes the rice, plantains and cabbage, but the star of the dish is that tender incredibly well seasoned Goat and the curry. If you're local, consider giving them a shot and if you're in town visiting, consider picking up. It's really well worth it!

Saw this place and stopped. I tried the jerk chicken, rice and peas with cabbage and plantain. Food was ok. Real test will come with either ox tail or goat curry. Meat patty is next as well.

Ordered brown stew chicken with rice & peas, cabbage, plantains and a side of roti for pick up. I may not be the best judge as I'm not Jamaican nor have I had much experience with Jamaican cuisine BUT I am Dominican and know well-seasoned food when I taste it. I wanted something new and packed with flavor, this meal had all the flavors I was looking for. I've never had roti before and the nice gentleman at the cashier added a side of curry sauce at no cost and instructed me to dip the roti in the sauce - that roti & sauce was my favorite part of the meal! So good! I'll definitely be adding that every time I order. Also, had their soursop juice (guanábana). Very good. And to top it off it's a Black-owned business/small business which I always love to support.
