Had to have a tow at midnight. Poor Jeff had the flu so didn't answer on the first call, but called back almost immediately! Within minutes he had a guy coming to my location and in less than an hour my car was home safe and at a great price! 10/10 will recommend to anyone.

Highly recommend this place. Our car broke down on a Friday night heading to Chicago for a flight and Jeff took our vehicle in to check on it while we were out of town for a week and had someone take us to our hotel in Chicago. We avoided an expensive towing fee and on a Friday night of all things. Very thankful and blessed by this place and if I lived closer to them I would take all my vehicles to them for any service work. Can't recommend them enough if you are in the area. I was on my way from Chicago to Springfield when sounds coming from under my vehicle made me pull over and check what was happening. A plastic covering underneath my vehicle had come loose, and by driving like that, I had caused half of it to break off, and the other half was dragging on the road. This was a Friday afternoon, and I couldn’t drive two more hours that way. I called J and R automotive, they gave me directions, saw me immediately, pulled off the covering, explained what I needed to do before winter...all in ten minutes! They charged me absolutely nothing!!! Now I realize they didn’t do much work, but seeing me immediately and getting me back on the road so quickly was priceless! They are the kindest snd most considerate guys I’ve seen in a long time! Thank you J&R...I highly recommend your services!!!!

I was stranded in Gardner on my way downstate from Chicago. After hours of trying to fix the issue myself I drove down to J & R Service Center. It was an issue that would prevent me from completing my trip. Kinda like a non-emergency emergency. I knocked on the door, but it looked like they were closed. Just in case, I gave them a call from the parking lot. They were in fact closed, but the operator informed me that there was someone inside doing admin work. He came out minutes later to take a look at the car. I was afraid that he'd be upset at having to come outside in the cold after I'd interrupted his work. This guy had the best attitude!!!! He basically rescued us from having to stay somewhere overnight by immediately fixing our car all within a few minutes!! On his day off!! Real stand-up guys here. 10/10 would recommend this company

Asks for an insane amount of money for a tow I'd never asked to receive from them.. especially now knowing what I do, could go literally anywhere else and be given an iota of respect.. The owner said in his own words 'I can part that truck out for more money' and are basically robbing me of my vehicle as I type this.. Be warned people of Grundy County, they have the contract to tow your cars when your already in disposition and from my experience have no care for what's righteousness to our good people here in desperate times as is. In short, they try to steal your car with a ply on only fact they have that contract and are apparently impervious to the law. Hope this saves some souls out there. Service: Car towing

I believe this was the nicest experience ever with a towing company. I just had a rough time with loading some cars and they helped me in no time. At the end, to make it even nicer i got a great discount. This is not something you see everyday. Honesty, punctuality and patience are just some of the qualities you can attribute to these guys. I was on my way back to school and broke down right before the Gardner exit on the highway and could not have broken down in a better spot. They were very both very professional and very nice and honest people. Highly recommend them!

On a road trip to take my son to college and had to stop for an emergency repair. These folks couldn't have been nicer and took care of us right away. Got us in and out and back on the road quickly. Highly recommend this place. Convenient off Interstate 55 too!

I work here as a tow truck operator. 100x better than McCoys services Inc. And Snowdance enterprises. Jeff and Amy treat all employees and customers like family. Trucks run great. I'm being trained on different things. Honesty is everywhere here with this company. I'm not going anywhere.
