Hard to get around the store and hardly anything on the shelf. I found 1 of 3 things I was wanting to get but I just wanted out of there because it's a mess.

I have been sitting in front of the Oakland City store since 8am as well as 3 other vehicles as well as the delivery truck. Once again highly disappointed in this store! It is now 8:40am and still no one is here!

The store has came a long way from were it was a year ago. The staff is a big help. The store is becoming more organized.

The Oakland City, IN Dollar General store is in a sad shape. It is close to Oakland City University and I know the students come here to shop. There are several racks in the aisles that are loaded with items that need to be put on the shelves. Today, Oct. 9 I went there to shop and there were 2 people checking us out. One of the registers had a sign that said (cash only) and the other register had a man behind the counter & was on the phone I think taking an order from someone. There were several people in line to be checked out. I was using a visa & the man tried to check me out but the register would not let him. I canceled what I was buying & went to Petersburg and went to the Dollar Store there. Everything was put up, no racks in the aisles and not a line to be checked out. It was clean & neat. I know Dollar Store are opening a lot of stores but they need to people to go to the stores and be sure they are being used correctly.

Good place to shop but not great work experience. Gives bad reviews when trying to get a new job and always leaves one person at cash register so other people don’t have to do it.

Actually stocked. Employees far more helpful and friendly than the majority of those in downtown Petersburg or on Main street in Princeton

I was buying some Christmas items that were discounted. I bought some snowflake lights that were right next to a 70% off sign and there was multiple of them so it wasn't like they were misplaced. when I got up to the register the cashier Cindy told me they were half off and when I told her about the sign she went over and look so well there's a 50% off sign over there. I told her that she needed to make sure it was marked more clearly and she argued with me and said they weren't marked clear. she said well I'm not going to argue with you and I advised her that she already was arguing with me. I will never go back to the store.

Not a lot of room to walk down aisles. Boxes sitting everywhere. Check out times can take forever when there there are people in front of you. Employees were all friendly though, and I found what I needed quickly and easily.

They have a wide selection of anything and everything from home goods to pet food to electronics and cleaning supplies..the store is usually very neat and staff are friendly plus I've noticed the store stays open much later than the others locally. Access to all customers disabled or not but the store is small compared to others. All in all I shop here each week and love coming here to save!
