This is the best restaurant in Rising Sun. Love their chicken chimichanga. We eat here every time we come to the casino. Jaime is an awesome server. All employees are welcoming there.

They are the friendliest ppl I have met. The food is great kinda pricey but u get a lot of food for the money. Its also the quickest place to order in town cause every where else says 45 to an hour and they always say 10 mins no matter how busy . We became regulars Parking: Parking is usually hard to come by on weekends due to the bar next door so you may have to walk a bit

The food was delicious. The service coulda been better. I don't think the waiter understood English very well because I was suppose to get steak and I got chicken. I told him it was chicken and he said yeah...chicken. I told him I ordered steak he said yeah...but didn't offer to fix it. Then when I was paying for my food I told him the food was delicious but I ordered steak and got chicken and he said yeah..I know. I am still not sure if he understood anything I said. I didn't get a discount or anything for my order being messed up.

Great locals place Mexican food. I only mentioned that it is for locals because we were spotted as not being from the town! Our winter asked us where we were from because he didn't recognize us. To me, that speaks to a wonderful local place! The food was very good, if not typical Mexican fare. One unique thing was that, along with the standard salsa and chips, we were also given a salsa con queso of some sort which was very good. If you're in the area, it's worth it if you are in the mood for Mexican!

Fajitas for lunch It's really hard to find a good restaurant in a small town like Rising Sun. With that being said, Tequila's Mexican restaurant is a great food (place) for the town and its residents. Excellent (delicious) Mexican food! Had the Fajitas for Lunch, the grilled chicken with onions, bell pepper, tomato, salad, rice, beans with tortilla, it was, fresh, hot, delicious and it wasn't drowned with salt. It arrived with a basket of chips, bean dip and salsa all freshly made. What more could you ask for. A great place to take your wife or family for authentic Mexican food and the service friendly and very professional and fast!

Rude!!! I usually have a good experience. I called in to place my order. After picking it up I noticed that they forgot ONE soft taco, only beef and sour cream. So I called to tell them that we was missing a soft taco. He was extremely rude about it. I read my order back to him and said that I was only missing the soft beef taco. He told me that it was in the bag, when it clearly wasn’t. He made me take a picture of the half eaten food, the receipt, and also the cheese and lettuce that was put on the hard shell tacos when they were supposed to be only beef. Not only did he make me do all of that but also when my husband went down to get the missing taco, he still made me repeat the order (which he got wrong) on my husband’s phone. I spent $50 on my order, why would I lie about missing a $3.60 taco. Finally after repeating the order AGAIN for the third time, I finally got a soft taco and he put another taco in with it. So if anyone calls in with a bigger order for pick up, be sure to check it in front of them. Very, very disappointed in the way they handled that situation! As you can see in the pictures below, no soft taco, and lettuce and cheese that was not supposed to be on the hard tacos.

Tried Tequila’s while staying at Rising Star casino. Very glad we did. It’s all the way at the end of Main St., a one way street, by the river. Not busy on a Thursday night, we were seated and had chips and dips on table in 30 seconds, drinks in about 90 seconds. Impressive. Ordered meals of pollo con chorizo and the special meal. We were almost done with the chips when the meals came sizzling: 7 minutes. Food was excellent, service outstanding. Really glad we went and highly recommended.
