I had this curriculum in school for a few years, it was remedial at best, indoctrinating at worst. This company produces materials with scare tactics woven into them instead of factual information to keep people inside dark Mennonite communities.

I love this store and publishing company. If you're looking for a homeschool curriculum that is Christ-centered and academically sound try Rod and Staff. If you are lucky enough to live near the store you can get books with minor imperfections for half price!

She was a nurse at a distant hospital. "Oh, Emily, Mother explained. "we do not want you to learn to be a nurse like Aunt Beth. Aunt Beth does not love and obey God like she should." "But I would love God and still be a nurse. Why not?" Emily questioned. "Because to learn to be a nurse brings so many tempta tions. Aunt Beth found that out, and slowly but surely she stopped obeying God." Mother answered. "But did you know that you can be a kind of nurse right now?" Emily was surprised. "How?" she asked. "I am only seven, and I don't know how to nurse people." "But I would love God and still be a nurse. Why not?" Emily questioned. "Because to learn to be a nurse brings so many tempta tions. The people here are very good to work with your needs and correct any problems that arise. My order came out being quite weighty and the shipper threw it over my fence on a rainy day which was not the supplier's fault. Nevertheless the contents were ruined. Rod and Staff, though not their fault, replaced at their expense. Some of their tracks promote the Sinners prayer which is not biblical. I have found that to be a great disappointment. However, in general they make tracts very appealing and eye catching, which sure helps in sharing them. God made color every where. Rainbows, flowers, etc. So why would He condemn colorful clothes? Please back up your rule on that and be biblical about it. Joseph's father made him a coat of MANY COLORS. Don't see where God condemns it.

I highly recommend ordering through R & S Publisher's Inc. Costumer service is amazing, so friendly. I receive our curricula in a matter of a couple days!!! I love that!! I've ordered a few times within a month. I'm a happy costumer.

These educational materials are inaccurate, outdated and extremely biased toward the Anabaptist religion. I grew up on this curriculum and am still trying to compensate for the lack of accurate world history that Rod & Staff "taught" me. Their books and stories promote disciplinary measures that are sketchy at best.

We have driven to Rod & Staff Publishers to pick up our books. I LOVE THEM. They are extremely well made. They were very friendly and helpful people. The curriculum is very well put together. I love having God through all the books. Their Bible teachings are very enjoyable. If you are looking for homeschooling material, or just an excellent foundation of material to add this is it. Could not get any better.
