What did you say?
It is unprofessional to make customers repeat what they just said because you don't want to use a pen and paper. I don't mumble but these people say they didn't hear what I said but the truth is they were to busy pecking away at the computer and not giving there full attention to what I was saying. I let them know how I feel about this unprofessional behavior and they told me to take my business elsewhere.
I was upset because this unprofessional situation happened on the phone and when I came to pick up the part. I needed to get another part and the young man did the exact same thing the young girl did over the phone. Kind of snarky if you think about it especially because I rebuked her and suggested she could avoid such annoying situations should she listen and write everything down before using the computer. Then the young man does the exact same thing when I was asking for another part after picking up the phone order. He was probably thinking he was clever but I told him he was also being unprofessional and it was kind of unusual because I was the only one in the store and I suspect the girl had told him what I said to her.
Making matters worse the following Monday the assistant manager Dave didn't contact me about what happened. He chose to call someone I mentioned who actually is a parts professional at an O'REILLY'S to talk about me.. Dave was claiming I had used expletives to his associates in which now he is telling lies. He didn't want my side of things because he was told lies of what actually happened. This small minded assistant manager now gets none of my business for the company he owns. Oh that's right he doesn't own this company. I don't think corporate wants their assistant managers to telling business owners to spend there money elsewhere based on lies.
This particular store does have issues with professionalism and answering the phone. On multiple occasions I have called to order parts and the call is never answered. Forty rings is enough. I gotten all kinds of excuses as to why nobody answers. There is something extremely wrong with this because I operate an auto repair shop and I don't have time waste making calls that don't get answered.
I generally spend $1400.00 on parts weekly so yes Dave that money will not be going to your NAPA store. Account closed. ~Ken
