I can not believe that Marshall's department store is stealing from its customers. I been a customer since childhood. I was excited at the fact Marshalls and TJMAXX is now selling high end purses I use to dream about.
I purchased a purse late February 2020 for $1400. The next day I saw purse I liked better and it was $300 cheaper. I immediately canceled the first order within 24hours. Cancelation Ref# CS1620282. Some how the purse still was delivered and I immediately returned it within a hour of its delivery.
By late March Marshalls never returned my $1391.85. I called back to Marshall's and was told a piece of paper was missing from inside the purse. OMG..Customer service could not explain what paper was missing and said the purse was sent back to me.
I never touched the purse I only opened the box in the UPS store to retrieve the return label since I already canceled the order. Within a hour of its delivery to the UPS store I had the purse at Fedex store to be returned. I know Marshall' s has cameras in their warehouses. What paper? Why are they doing this to me? I felt insulted and discriminated against I was told the returns department was closed due to covid- 19 and I should dispute it with my bank.
I disputed the charges with my bank and received my money on April 5th 2020. In July 2020 I received a notice from my bank stating Marshall's has not compiled with attempts at refunding my money and the bank will be taking the $1391.85 back out of my account. This left my account negative over -$500
I'm floored to my knees I lost my job due to covd-19 and we are at risk of losing our housing for me and my children.
I have been calling Marshall's for weeks and noone has any answers. A customer service manager told me they are waiting on the creditcard department to let them know what happened, its been over a month. I was refunded $10.61 the cost of shipping on 10-6-2020. A slap in the face. I dont know what else to do. I have 5 more weeks of unemployment left and my family is struggling financially. Marshall's merchandise was returned the same way they sent it to me and I returned it on 3/28/2020, and I'm still fighting for a refund swven months later. I have tried calling their corporate office on several occasions there is no operator available and I do not know any names to use the extentions.
This is so unfair its been almost 7 months since I returned the merchandise and they are keeping my money. I have no answers I will ave to contact Consumer Protection Agency.
I will never shop here again. ~Monique
