Unethical - submitted a review to BBB
We have been dealing with a contract issue for months now! It is striking how unethical the contract practices are! They had someone that does not have actual, implied, or apparent authority to sign any contracts for the business, sign the contract. He isn't even an employee of the business. What is worse, the person who had this contract signed did not validate with the owner that he could sign. THEN, a GM from the business signed off on this! We finally realized the services the Cintas rep signed us up for WAY exceeded the needs of the business. We asked to cancel service - which is when we were told a contract was signed. The rep abruptly stopped communicating with us and next thing we are getting a lawyers letter with over $7500 in fees for a cancelled contract. Shocking how this business treats its customers.
I contact the GM at Cintas - he responded trying to salvage the business relationship. He acknowledged the discrepancies in the managing of the account and seemed empathetic to our situation. He also pleaded with us to continue services with discounts and negotiations that would sound nice to most people. However, based on the unethical practices of others at Cintas we decided it would not be in our best interest to continue working with Cintas. We do not trust the business and would like to cancel services immediately. He responded saying too bad – talk to the lawyer.
Next, I emailed the CEO Scott Farmer after searching for his contact information. Because the GM at Cintas would not give me the information. No response!
Now here we are with a contract we DID NOT sign for services that exceed our business with their lawyer sucking on us, a small business!!
Be careful! Our last resort if BBB...we will see. ~Barbara
