Save-a-Lot are essential grocery stores which are usually in an area that is a food desert. This store fills the need for people who cannot go shopping elsewhere. I cannot even guess how many of the customers are using SNAP. In this case I am writing about the store on Franklin and Almonaster. They feature many house brands with a small percentage of brand name groceries available. The prices there are hard to beat. There is a good selection of fresh produce and the meat ranges from beef from Mexico to USDA choice cuts too. There isn't much in the seafood choices though; no reason to expect fresh but the freezer section is light. The four stars are normally used for a real quality grocery but I feel they fill a need for people who are unable to and need to buy food. One complaint, they sometimes have one checker working the register and a line can form.... . ~Mark

The ladies at the kitchen always have an attitude as if you were begging. Never want to make anything fresh upon request. Poor customer service. ~Yeidy

Everyone here is super nice and creates such a nice atmosphere! My family and I started going here for trivia every Wednesday night so we have become very friendly with the already friendly staff. The regular menu is typical pub-grub but they're weekly dinner specials always adds great options for you to choose from. The food always comes out in a timely manner, always hot, and cooked perfectly no matter what you get. There was one time a dish at our table was under cooked but they fixed it with no problem. Overall, a great place for a night out! ~Sam

Just ordered food from here and I understand that they’re busy but what I received was unacceptable. I ordered the (6) smoked wings and only received 5. I guess they tried to count a wing tip as one and literally everything I ordered was cold. I picked it up from the restaurant and had to wait for it to be cooked there. Why would you play like that? ~Marina
