Wren

Out dinner was outstanding, with patio seating and a perfect and summer evening. The town slows down around 7, so we got a quiet evening outside. Our servers (at least 3) were generous and kind, we got complimentary champagne for our anniversary, and even dessert on the house. Chef Alex really outdid himself tonight, the steak was perfectly cooked, plus a couple of surprises to accompany. My wife ordered the scallops and those were outstanding as well. Really, it is worth our 3 hour drive to dine at this gem of a restaurant. Absolutely recommended!! ~Carlos

Streetside Grille

Yes open on Tuesdays Went with friends to have a rainy day dinner. The atmosphere was cozy and even though there was a glass garage door we could all hear each other talk in the full house. There is a wide selection of beers on tape and the pub style food was super tasty. The boom boom shrimp was great. ~Sketchy

Hillside Market

Oh, I just love Hillside Market! First of all, they are located in the most beautiful setting nestled amongst the wineries and vineyards of Leelanau County. The store holds a plentiful variety of pet food supplies including quirky treats and toys for your cats and dogs, but also an abundance of interesting options for the bird nerds and farm folk including some landscaping necessities. You can't beat the prices or the personalized friendly service. Box stores be warned. The Hillside Market is now my go-to for all of my pet needs...big and small! ~Jill

The Exchange | Flea

We attended the Art Walk in Suttons Bay (October 19, 2018) and walked into The Exchange/Flea. We should have just walked right out when the older woman working demanded I shut the door even though there was someone walking in right behind me. As we were looking around we heard who I believe is the owner ask a customer “you’re not going to buy anything?” I was shocked but continued to look around the store. I saw something I wanted to purchase, even though I shouldn’t have based on the behavior of the employees, when a woman walked in with a cup of coffee and the older woman working rudely told her that there are no open containers in the store. The Art Walk provides various wine in each participating store so my boyfriend and I wanted to try the wine they were carrying, the lady ID’d us because we do look younger. As we were leaving the store the SAME older woman yelled out to my boyfriend “young man are you 21?” We kindly responded that yes he was, almost 23 and she made yet another comment “did the wine lady ID you? you sure don’t look 21.” Her tone of voice was so rude and nasty. I tried to be nice but told her yet again “yes, he’s almost 23 thank you”. We finally left the store and I will NEVER return. Also, their clothing is extremely expensive and not at all worth the price. I would suggest never coming in here. ~Shelby

Suttons Bay Galleries

I don’t see how this woman could have been this way I had the opportunity to be schooled by her for over an hour and she was the most kindest knowledgeable woman I’ve met! My entire trip up North was worth it because of this woman and I made sure she knew as well. She taught me so much and took me through her gallery explaining different things to me and I learned so much. Trust me whomever put the negative review I don’t see this happening at all. ~Foreveraltered1970
