I took my dog there for an appointment a few weeks ago, and was left with such a bad taste in my mouth. We have been going there since my dog was a baby (about a year now), and while I haven't been super impressed, it has been fine enough. After we left from the last visit, however, I have switched vets. My dog has behavior problems, and I don't dispute that. I have been working really hard with him and am working with a trainer and a behavioral vet. I brought in my dog with a muzzle. When we got there, they acted like he was a monster. The vet asked him if I gave him a tranquilizer, when she never requested that I do so or prescribed one. They had me put a second muzzle on him and the vet then said "I don't know how this is going to go."
They took him back and did what they needed. When they brought him back out, they gave him to me like he had cooties. There was no report on how he did until I asked. Then the vet said, "he did much better without you there." That was it. I did not get the feeling at all like they cared about my dog.
The less than 10 minute visit cost over $300. Just for a blood test, a urine test, and a stool test.
When the results of his testing came in, the tech called, not the vet. There was no follow up.
I would not at all recommend this vet, especially if your pet has special needs. I am happy to be done with that veterinary practice! ~Sarah
