I’ve been going to this store for 4 years and used to love it. The past 3 times I’ve been, Amanda has had the worst attitude. Either she hates life or she hates retail. No matter her affliction, she needs to take a mental health day, revamp her resume and move on if this is no longer her calling.
-Staring at me, watching me from across the room so intently, the bad vibe was palpable.
-She lied about not ever offering a military discount, however my mom has also been going there since 2018 and yes, has received a military discount before.
-She has no clue about the so-called “rewards program” and had the audacity to get mad when I asked about the specifics (how many points I’ve accumulated in 4 years, when they expire, minimum purchase amount to earn points, etc) although she introduced the subject!
-Can be heard talking to people (employees and customers alike) as if condescension is her mother tongue. Overall, she’s just a miserable entity haunting this establishment.
The store itself is enchanting, well organized with nice dressing rooms. Most recently when I visited, I asked an employee if their 2nd store was open and she advised they now have limited hours because there wasn’t enough inventory for both locations to be open full time. This was apparent by the dwindling selection at their flagship store.
I always leave with the best purchases and used to adore The Bargain Lady. But why would I spend my hard earned money at a place where I don’t even feel welcomed anymore? They will be just fine without my business because there’s always someone somewhere willing to tolerate disrespect in pursuit of second-hand goods. ~Ria
