Prasek's Hillje Smokehouse

BEWARE OF CURRENT KITCHEN STAFF!! We always look forward to stopping by Prasek’s to and from deer lease! Spent $36 on chopped beef to take home for dinner, noticed cook pouring something in our container of chopped beef. Now we know what it was…pure grease!!! Waiting on stomach aches!! Also raved to everyone how delicious the burgers are, but on our way to lease the burger was literally thrown together, tomatoes cut thicker than the patty itself. Also used to get the sliced sausage sandwiches, packed with sausage, until we got one recently with 4 pieces, barely covering bread! Awesome store and will continue to visit, but will be Cautious of kitchen staff! ~Mike

Exxon

Do you wish you could experience a scene from a “Men in Black” movie? Well, this is the pitstop for you. Walked Into the Subway portion of this station and the woman sitting at the table to the left... human? Maybe, doesn’t matter, I need the bathroom. I find the ladies room. Desperation made me continue my adventure. Do you appreciate privacy and cleanliness? This is not the place for such luxuries. Ceiling tiles missing, toilet paper??? Did my business and called my husband, hoping his ablutions were finished. I stayed close to my vehicle as more “guests” arrived to this gas station “ souvenir shop”. Yeah... back in MIB. Do yourself a favor and drive 5 minutes into Sealy. Anywhere there is better than this gas station. ~Janell

Kathy's Korner

Great gas station right off of i-10. Has a great selection and friendly staff. The fountain drinks and coffee bar are clean and looked refreshing. The aisles were well stocked and inviting. The high ceiling made the room feel a lot bigger than it actually was. The beer seller in the corner looked huge! The bathrooms were clean just like the rest of the establishment. The restaurant is temporarily closed but should open when the highway construction is complete. They have plenty of gas pumps and a nice facade. A lot less crowded than Buc ees so if you ever want to skip the crowd on your next road trip stop here! ~Marco
