The Longhorn Saloon is a local type of bar and grill, but the high ceilings give it more of an open feel. They feature bar food and some BBQ items. Owing to a nation wide shortage, their ribs are currently not offered. I heard the brisket was good but forgot to ask if that was still available. Anyway, we wanted to try the burgers, and we were not disappointed by their half pound patties served on toasted French bread. Be sure to get bacon on whatever burger you order because it adds a lot of smoky flavor. We also got the white cheddar cheese curds, and they were perfect. Next time I eat there, my order will include the poutine. According to the menu, fish is also offered daily including perch, walleye, and cod. The place has quite a few tables and is well run. The server was very accommodating, and the food was ready in a timely manner. It looked like outside seating was also available when weather permits. It's situated on a high bank of the Wolf River which is visible out back and it's located near the hospital and hwy. 29. I saw beach volleyball outside, but I'm only a baller when it comes to eating big burgers, and I cannot lie. Word... ~Steven
