If you like gourmet olive oils, teas, balsamics, wines...stop here and plan on opening you wallet wide. I'm obsessed with the strawberry balsamic (just drizzle it on a spinach salad and prepare for amazement) and the pomegranate quince balsamic (makes a simple pork chop into the stuff of legends). I wish I'd bought more, and even though it's a 5-hour round-trip for me, I'll be heading back for a restock/for more just as soon as I can!

Call before picking up an order. Breads and baked goods still available and great! Kim runs a great place. Cheese selection fabulous. High grade vinegars, oil, wine and gifts.

I stopped here for a sandwich last weekend and was so pleasantly surprised! I asked for a cheese sandwich with lettuce and tomato. The super friendly woman made it with three kinds of amazing cheese, a sweet ripe tomato, on delicious crusty bread. Served with tiny French pickles that I forget the name of, and two chocolate curls. I also got a peanut chocolate cookie that was absolutely delicious. The quality of the ingredients elevated a simple cheese sandwich into something really special. I shared it with my husband, who doesn't like cold cheese sandwiches, and he's still talking about it. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who loves good food and great service. They also are taking COVID19 seriously, so we couldn't go into the shop. But the woman who helped us couldn't have made it a better experience If she tried. Thank you so much. We appreciate you!

The store would be great if the owners trusted the customers. They stand over you and follow every step. I am seasonal people for many years before these rude owners opened. Every year I visit to see if the women changed their attitude. Nope, this year the same. Rising Tide much better price, help and supporting locals. Stay away from this rude operated place. Maybe these woman just might appreciate the customer and not treat them like they are not needed. Better places to spend your money where it is appreciated. >>>>>>>>>***After your replying to my review, I do hope you observe your helpful methods to the customer and be careful how your customer profiling is used by your sales help. You do have a nice store and everyone should feel welcome. What pennies you may loose due to a bad person not paying will come back to you in $100.00's. Wishing you much success and we will try your store again. Visit Rising Tide Co-OP in Damariscotta, a natural goods store with locally sourced items.

The store itself is wonderful, a great selection. However, one of the employees approached my friend and I while we were looking at wine and literally stood in between us and the wine, directing us towards the other side of the store. We then noticed she was following us throughout the entire store and straight to the door when we left. We were planning on buying a couple bottles of wine but were quickly escorted out because the woman assumed we were stealing. Like I said, the store itself was great and we would've bought something if we weren't treated poorly by that woman.

The staff and owners at Eventide Specialties are friendly, available for questions, helpful and knowledgeable. They have items that are affordable, unique, delicious, fresh, and beautiful to the eyes. Their store is clean and decorative with a large variety of things for all kinds of palates. I love the temperature controlled wine cave! You never have to worry about your wine being spoiled or dull. Their bakery is like non other and their cheeses are top notch. Plan to spend some time when you visit as you will want to browse the beautiful items, including their kitchen gadgets and you will want to take some time to taste all the wonderful samples that are available. We have been in on several occasions in different times of the year and Eventide is always bright and fresh and consistent.
