Dave has to be one of the most incompetent mechanics I've ever come across , lied about using factory parts etc . Took in a running car and had to have it towed away. Beware @ Service: Steering & suspension replacement

Slow and horrible service, drove my car in yet when I got it back I needed it towed out, which is costing extra money I didn't think I would have to spend?! Never going here again! 👎

Evie is knowledgeable and friendly as a reception individual. Explained the problem I was having with my vehicle after having it towed in. Took the mechanic less than a week to diagnose and repair my vehicle! I had it at another shop previously for 4 weeks, and they had no clue what was wrong, Had it towed to Blackhawk auto and....TA DA. Price was good too. Highly reccommend. Services: Engine repair, General repairs & maintenance

I took my vehicle in because it was overheating sometimes. He saw that the radiator fan was not turning on and wanted to charge me $300+ to change the fan unit. I took it home and a friend suggested I check the fuse. I did. The fuse was blown. I changed it and the fan works fine. Owner seemed to be bragging that he charges the same rate as the dealerships.

I brought my vehicle to the other local shop in town, was told it needed a head gasket. My neighbor recommended Dave at Blackhawks Auto Repair. Dave diagnosed my vehicle and it was only a blocked radiator. I saved a lot of money and will reccomend Blackhawks to my friends and family.

I took my 7.3 powerstoke in for a water pump replacement, dropped it off first thing in the morning and had I done by the end of the day. They did a great job couldn't be happier.

Took my truck here for a second opinion after another facility told me I needed $600 of front end work. I left my truck with them, and they drove it and inspected the front end. I was told that I did not need any work to the front end, and they also advised that an alignment was not necessary since the truck was within spec. They charged a fair hourly rate for their time. The owner was knowledgeable, friendly, and trustworthy. I would recommend this repair shop to others.

My elderly disabled mother took her van in for overheating. They told her it was the water pump and charged her almost $500 to replace it. She drove it twice and it was still overheating. When she took it back in they noticed right away a fan wasn’t working and charged her an ADDITIONAL $220 to replace that (tried to charge her even more when she arrived but she had the paper quote thankfully). They also removed a part that she used to open her hood (it was broken but there was a pull string to open it still) they removed the string and want $175 to replace that too. I’m disgusted at the way she was treated and condescended when she was frustrated about the original repair not solving the issue. In good faith, they should have acknowledged the original incorrect repair!
