There needs to be better leadership and maturity in the staff. A few months ago, I broke up a near-fight while the young staff sat there and shook their heads. The argument was going on for 30 minutes! Not one worker took initiative to stop it. Adults in their late teens and early 20’s can not and should not be in control of a gym. I’ve been going here for more than a decade. When they canned the original management after the pandemic, the gym went downhill. There needs to be a superior presence. Also, after quarantine they announced a 24 hour gym. Two and a half years later, they’re still operating on pandemic hours.

For some reason my review has been either deleted or otherwise however, I brought my 15 year old son, into Somerdale Esporta Fitness to attempt to introduce him to a health routine while focusing on my recovery from an extensiveinjury. Not even two weeks and three visitswe were met with a pressure tactic proposal for a fitness assessment by the trainers. Wanting my son to gain some experience I conferred with the trainer and told him we wont be taking advantage of the training after the assessment, we just want to het the hang of a routine before I consider the investment. The trainer became manipulative and cimbative telling me and my son who was 14 at the time he was overweight and he would never see any results without him, He also told me to my face My son was never going to make it, hes going to get hurt unless I pay more money for training, again tried to repeat the fear tactic as if this was urgent and that I need to make a decision now because we wont see any results without pay the extra 150-200per month for training. Next of the many hateful and verbally violent attempts to shatter my confidence I was being charged a balance again, alarm going off at 3AM when I called after the third alarm I was discouraged and asked is this what its going to be like working out there making Somerdale my home gym? I'M JUST TRYING TO WORK OUT AND SHOW MY SON BETTER, I mind as well cancel my membership I want a refund the manager BRE Threatened my financial well being by saying she can cancel my membership but she won't SHE WILL CONTINUE TO DUB MY ACCOUNT UNTIL I PAID 25 DOLLARS TO CANCEL OR MY ACCOUNT SIMPLY EXPIRES. SOMERDALE ESPORTA FITNESS filled with Psychologically Violent trainers, and Management, They used manipulative and fear tactis, prey on your confidence to get you to bend, on top of that they let the pool and hot tub become a cesspool of blood clots, Biological Hazards and unclean conditions that is harmful. Their shameful conditions you would think they would have better customers service, I dont even believe Corporate is investing money into thst location. SOMERDALE USE IT FOR WHAT IT IS, AND DONT PUT YOUR HEALTH AT RISK, SKIP THOSE VIOLENT TRAINERS AND DONT MAKE THAT YOUR HOME GYM PERIOD, USE THE FACILITIES AT YOUR OWN HEALTH RISK AS YOU SIGNED ON THEIR CONTRACT.

Turnersville one has broken air conditioner , and even their employees stand there needing a fan on them , so I been going to one in Summerdale. It has air condition however, almost all their treadmills are broken but only a couple have a note saying needs maintenance.

Lately, the gym has been a mess. Equipment has notes for weeks on end that say they’re waiting for service, but they do not get fixed. Kids come in and have 0 gym etiquette, weights are left all over the floor and on racks, water bottles are everywhere, and the younger kids rough house. Someone is going to get hurt. Also, when I walked in today someone had taken a new picture under my account and they’re using it. They made sure the picture is blurry so you can’t tell who it is, but clearly it is a young male. Apparently, some staff are letting their friends use paying customers accounts. UNREAL! I’ve been coming here a long time and it’s only gotten this bad in the last 6 months or so. I’m happy the younger crowd is spending time here and working on their health, but do it respectfully.

85% of the treadmills have been down for a month now. Maybe 30% of the TVs on the exercise equipment work. The pros to this gym is it doesn’t get alot of traffic so you can get on what you pretty much when you want. But the maintenance that’s done on the treadmills is zero to none. In the pictures attached, all of the treadmills in that row are out of order.

The cable machines don’t have to many hand attachments. I asked the lady if they could order more cable handles and she said they constantly get stolen. IMO that’s due to there not being a designated area for them like other gyms, they just get left all over the floor. Also Some weight machines are missing hand grip rubbers. Other than that, it’s a clean and great gym. The staff is friendly and helpful and they also have a single basketball court. I recommend it over any other gym in the area.

Relatively clean, friendly staff, weights are usually found easily. Certain things about the price don't make sense. (You can freeze your membership, but it only saves you money if you have the $25 dollar plan) They try to incentivize the more expensive membership, but the cheaper membership has almost the same perks.

The pool is open during covid! This is great news. One person per lane. No mask due to drowning possibility. The gym is super clean. Covid did one thing right!!! The gym is finally clean and not crowded. A few customers are not adhering to the mask policy. However, social distancing is sort of happening.

I do not recommend anyone to use the pool in la fitness. you can, but only if you are never confused by a never-working filtering system. the photos will say everything for me. I have no words and no desire to even come close to this gym. The management has been doing nothing for 4 months, although they have reported that they will understand this. however, snot, dirt, blood, sand, and other debris can still be found in this pool
