I love the location great venue. It would be cool if the owner let the metal Summit host a rock show.

When shows were poppin in the early 2ks, it was business as usual, get one headliner and make 3 bands sell tickets to pay for it. Now they have an even less stellar version of its former self, selling mediocre shows with same awful sound, pretentious "too cool" staff, and lame food. Go elsewhere, lot of local pubs having great bands with no cover (yes it's possible). No one answers the phone or emails either. Just no.

I wanted to love it. But sadly the food was horrific. They were out of items even though the menu is small and we got there when the doors opened. They rationed ketchup, which was needed due to the terrible food. All that aside, I couldn't wait for the live performance. Sadly the sound system was abysmal, drowning out the lovely singer with instruments way too loud. I gave it an extra star because they overpoured the wine which was appreciated.

First time here was this past Sunday night. This is a tough venue to review. On one hand it's everything I wanted from a NJ punk show. Small but not too small, dark, great crowd, and good people. Sound was pretty good too. Plus the price for admission was right. One the other hand I have 2 major knocks. First is their sound guy that night was having a rough night. Now I don't know if that comes down to him or the bands but during the band I went to see their guitar kept cutting in and out. It definitely hurt the flow of their performance. Second, and probably more importantly, is their "stage" is about 6 inches off the ground. So if you're a person of normal size, i'm 5'8, good luck actually seeing the band if you have anyone taller in front of you. I was quite literally next to the stage on the right where bands come on and off and couldn't see the band. Everyone in front of me was taller than me. I get that isn't necessarily the venues fault but it hurt my experience. If someone one was playing here and it was my only option to see them, i guess i'd go back. However if I had other venues to see a band, Stanhope House would be a last resort.

This place is horrible! So I drove 2 hours to see a metal and hardcore show, and all the handlineing bands didn’t show up and they didn’t find the need to cancel the show or tell us till the time that the band was suppose to go on. So a wasted my money and gas to see a bunch of local bands that I didn’t even want to see. So when we got there was so much security that no one could dance or have fun and it just made the environment hostile. And last off the one older man bar tender was so rube that I didn’t even order there over priced drinks. I will never be returning and I would like to get my money back for my tickets.

Music was great, however the staff was very rude to my party and I. My friend was unjustly cut off after just one beer and the rest of the night security followed us around the premises. It was very unnerving and took away my ability to enjoy the show. When i politely asked them why their staff seems to see us as a problem, i was met with the threat of getting kicked out for simply asking a question. Loss of patronage as we will just not be returning. Hire some folks with smiles on their faces.

Went to the B Street Band show which was amazing. Great sound. The grilled chicken wrap was huge and so was the hamburger. Waitress was able to handle getting everything out hot even with the large crowd.

Great little venue with a deceivingly amazing lineup of preformers and artists. Prices are decent. Food is excellent, especially the coconut shrimp. Fast and friendly service. Thrilled to have a place like this less than 20 minutes from my house.

Small and intimate venue for live performances, went there for the Carach Angren, Morst Principium Est and Wolfheart show, on the metal genre perspective it was a good experience. By the entrance on the front porch they have an area with a second bar where bands sell their merch and you can meet their members, service at the bar was good considering that there was only one lady by herself, they have some tables with good view of the stage, limited beer selection and food OK, sound was more than acceptable

Interesting mix of national and local original music bands. I came here to see John5. Security is pretty tight for a small club, they wand. Good sound system and nice stage setup. Decor is scary old, but good acoustics. Nice pour on the adult beverages. Good buffalo wings with nice potions. Decent burger on a kaiser roll with frozen fries. Not bad.
