Bob at Bartholomew's Car Care Center took superb care of my vehicle when my engine overheated out of no where on Rt 81 on our way home from a week long road trip. My car was towed here by AAA, Bob took his time to check my vehicle, from radiator, coolant levels to making sure that there weren't any leaks. He kept us in the loop during the ~2 hours we were there, ran every test possible and made sure it was road worthy before sending us on our way. He explained the problem in detail and was very patient with us. Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance

Idk what to say about this place. Bob was good but not the best couldn't find the problem with my car. Was told my alternator was fairly new but was bad and old, had to replace myself, they couldn't with my car issues. I wind up trading the car a bought to finance a new one. Thanks

While traveling from NYC to the Ithaca area, my car broke down on a desolate stretch of Route 17 about 70 miles from my destination. AAA towed my car to Bartholomew Car Care Center in Binghamton NY, 30+ miles away. Bob, who worked on my car, took the time to discuss the issue with my mechanic back home, and painstakingly tried to order the needed Jaguar part. When the part could not be ordered in a timely manner, he created an alternate fix, which was spot-on and my car smoothly made the 250 mile journey back home. As I will occasionally need to travel back to the area, I am grateful to know that Bartholomew is there, offering top notch service, an honest and competitive price, graciousness, and professionalism. Have been going to Bartholomew's for 10 years and have nothing but good things to comment on their work. They are honest and thorough when they do car repairs. Example: got an estimate for work that had to be done., When they started to do the repairs, they realized the repairs were not as extensive as originally thought. The cost of repairs was less than 1/2 of the original estimate. They could have charged me the original estimated price but their honesty made me a customer for life.

This repair center was great! We were traveling from out of town and developed a leake in one of my tires. We stopped in, no appointment, and they took the car right in! They couldn’t find anything in the tire and after 40 minutes, advised us that the ball in the valve was stuck. He cleaned it and repaired it. No charge! Wonderful people and great job!

We've taken our car to Bartholomew's twice now, and both times have been pleased with the service. They have a good turnaround time, reasonable rates, and no-frills service. I would highly recommend Bartholomew's, and I will be returning the next time I need a repair.
