All the best sellers are available with a smattering of everything else. There is also a great kids section with a play area so parents can shop. They have gifts, throw parties and events and local author signings. Staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. And real bunnies!

Scattered Books is a MUST! It’s a lovely store where you travel in time to those stores where everyone was nice and there was no stress. Kids sitting down here and there, everyone saying hello to each other. I would recommend this place to any book lover or anyone looking for a nice warm experience. There is a room in the back with bunny rabbits that kids and grownups can pet, how relaxing is that! The furniture is made of real wood. It’s one of those places that feel familiar even if it’s the first time you step on it. And prices are very reasonable.

This shop deserves more than 5 stars! Scattered Books has a great selection, super friendly and helpful people, and it’s so comfortable. They have nice gifts snd great gift wrap too. It’s also a great member of the community. Chappaqua is lucky to have Scattered Books!

I went here for the first time for my daughter's birthday party. The store is lovely, the staff is wonderful, and all the girls at the party had a great time. I had forgotten how much fun it can be to shop for books at an actual bookstore!

What an amazing, wonderful place to shop for books! The atmosphere of this place is what I love most. It's welcoming nature and pretty interior design makes me feel comfortable, and for me, it's important for me to feel this way where I'm shopping. The staff members are also extremely kind and funny. It's quite a delightful experience at Scattered Books. Five stars!

I've gone to Scattered Books multiple times to get books for my friends, family, and myself! It's a lovely, calm store that really adds to the friendly atmosphere of the town. The staff are extremely helpful with finding books and will even order books to the store if they are not in stock.

While this store is called "Scattered Books", it is actually VERY well organized and easy to find whatever I need - and if I cannot find what I need, the employees are extremely helpful. There's a great selection of books, but Scattered Books is great when it comes to ordering stuff that they don't have in stock. The atmosphere is calming and pleasant, exactly what a book store should be.
