Excellent food and nice atmosphere (ate outside on deck overlooking park like grounds). Surf and turf had generous portions of haddock and steak with a few scallops to really push it over the top. Desserts made on site hit the mark. Make reservations for a spot on the deck if the weather is good.

i highly recommend tryon inn.. Everything on menu is great and very fair prices.....try chicken riggies and shrimp scampy,,,steak...you name it....you will like it,,,,,Excellent chefs and service,,,,very nice friendly staff,,,,

Delicious! We had spinach and artichoke dip on chips for an appetizer that had a small kick to it. Oh so good and we both had cheese quesadilla, I had the chicken and avocado on it which was great! They put a little taco seasoning in it to bring out the flavor which works subtly. Our server Abby was so helpful and when she didn't know the answer she would go find out. Awesome service 👏. Would definitely go back and try other dishes. The view from the front porch was calming and beautiful, laid back, we went at 5 when it opened.

Love this place! Amazing owners and staff. Follow them on Facebook for nightly menus and events. You can message them for a reservation. My husband and I are regulars on Wacky Wednesdays or anytime we do not feel like cooking. We are heading there tonight for Jamaican Night. Yum, can’t wait!

I am giving 4 stars because of how AMAZING the carrot cake is! According to the friendly server, one of the owners makes it. I have to say it is the BEST carrot cake I have EVER had. Wish I got a picture of it!!! LOL it didn't last that long. Actually, my friend and I got a piece TO GO, and while waiting for the check we each took bites and had to get another piece since it was that GREAT! As for dinner, what I ordered was not the same quality as the carrot cake. I had a pasta dish and the veggies in it tasted like they were canned (mushrooms), the sauce was very light, and the chicken was okay. I also know this restaurant is not an Italian restaurant, so I have adjusted my expectations for that dish. There menu has a lot of variety to it, so I am definitely going to go a few more times to find something I absolutely love. I have my eye on the Taco Salad, and the waitress told us that the burgers there are fresh and not frozen, so I am excited to go again and try something different :)

Thank you so much to the entire staff at the Tryon tonight!! Not only did you fit us in last second for my mother in laws 70ths birthday after a disastrous mess of not writing our reservation down at council Rock brewery...The Tryon Inn pulled thru and your food and chef Mark BLOW them out of the water!! FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING AND DELICIOUS! Service was polite and great! 5 stars thank you so much again!! We as locals will be back soon very soon 🙂🙂🙂
