Love this family kind people. Best iceream selection in 7miles, juicy lamb subs, most convenient stores don't have almond milk they usually do and Kambucha so many choices in Yummy snacks. So glad to have them in the neighborhood.

No prices on anything, pretty sure the employee just made up the price of $3.50 for a bottle of Poland Spring water. She wouldn’t give me a receipt. Place was crowded, dirty and very claustrophobic.

Amazing subs and breakfast sandwiches. One of the best customer service and stores I’ve been to. Very convenient spot in the heart of syracuse

Very rude and un welcoming. The lady doesnt know how to use the lottery machine which she tells people its "broken". The owner is always yelling at customers and makes the environment hostile. I seen him arguing with his neighbor over a parking spot because he was unloading groceries from WALMART BAGS into the store. I also seen a homeless guy sell back the food that a bystander had bought him from the store. That place is weird and unfriendly

Alamos food market is a very convenient spot with helpful alert staff. They make the best and fastest food downtown and is always a reliable safe business you can trust, plus they have a great beer selection and plenty of snacks when you get the munchies

This store is the true meaning of convenience. Over the past couple of times that I have shopped there, I was never disappointed, they have a little bit of everything. Their Beer selection is also quite impressive. The staff is also welcoming and helpful which is a plus. In all, this a convenient one stop shop in the heart of downtown.

Update - There's an interesting happening from an almost anthropological view point of this store. Here you have an owner and a store that seemed overtly prejudice, despite my being well dressed and articulate, who has hired an African American mentally challenged man to sweep their stoop and who cater to the lesser than community. Separately one could view these as just coincidences, but coupled with the sting of being hawk eyed followed around the store on multiple visits, observing the "clientele", over priced (or at least non-competitively priced) goods, many expired, and prejudice reverberated through the experiences of many others, Alamo's Food and Market place's only golden touch is the nice teenager at the counter. Sacrifice convenience, take the extra few steps or the drive. There are other options .

As a student at SU I am very glad I found this place. Not only are the workers and owner professional and friendly, they have the best beer selection I've seen in Syracuse and a wide variety of products ranging from Organic food to produce to frozen food with more than fair prices considering the expensive area that downtown is. All in all the best grocery store in the 315!!
