It's a Family Dollar is all I can say . But the cashiers are quicker than Dollar General stores ... It has remodeled as of 2022 ! And it is absolutely great, everything you need is here ... except a fresh deli of course...lol ! Go check it out , u won't be disappointed!!! A. J

The store itself is pretty good for the usual stuff, especially groceriesbut the staff are poorly trained and are goofing off every time I visit. Employee said I had zero balance in snap/ebt when I actually had plenty!

I travel to Kings Mountain a lot for work and I always make sure to stop at this Family Dollar because it's honestly the best one I've been to. It's always super clean and well stocked. Their selection beats everyone else, especially the kid's stuff. Also the ladies that work there are always very friendly and helpful.

The store manager at this location, Tracy, is extremely rude and a bit racist if I’m being honest. She’s one of the rudest retail managers I’ve came across. She yells at her employees and she talks about personal business of employees in front of everyone, customers included. She gossips like a teenager to other customers while you’re having to wait in line during these sessions. She always gets huffy and puffy whenever she’s having to help a customer she doesn’t want to help. She’s lazy and off putting. It’s awful. The store in itself is a nice store. It’s a clean, well maintained store. The only time I’m able to shop in this location and have a pleasant experience is when Angel, Meg, or Brenda is working. Meg actually is an assistant manager at this location and you can tell the experience of this young woman because she handles herself very professionally, very kind, and very down to earth. Angel is bubbly and very helpful to customers. She goes out of her way to make sure every customer is offered a sale item and makes sure they leave pleased. Brenda is more reserved but she is quick at her job and still offers her services with a smile. The other ladies not mentioned the short haired lady with glasses (don’t know her name) and I believe Eve, the other assistant manager, they’re no good. If you come in and see these ladies you might as well head to the dollar general. TIA~

This is the real review now that I've experienced the most cruel and humiliating treatment in a retail store ever in my life and I'm an older woman. Cashier clerk was yelling at be and the other other clerk demanding I stand behind others in line when they could not complete a refund. Cashier kept the receipt and merchandise in her possession and refused to hand it back when I asked to leave with it because it was taking so long. She got upset when I managed to get a hold of my purchase receipt before leaving the counter to stand behind others. When I got up to the counter the second cashier closed the counter with a sign saying "closed"! I had to leave without a refund slip or the merchandise with only my purchase receipt because they were claiming on a phone call to someone that I was "bothering the other customers". I really cannot tell you how demonic this experience was. It is a messy store too. This purchase is in dispute.

The Cashier was really rude and unfriendly. She got mad because I didn’t have change and immediately had and attitude and was puffing. I know times are stressful but if you work with the public, at least be nice, that’s one of the things that are part of your job. Dec. 17 2020 at 1:30pm
