I was here early every day and was being trained by a maintenance guy who by the way was doing a great job. They are so under staffed they are down to one shift and upper management is working as labors and so on. The workers are a great group of guys and the owner is I have no comment was employed through I temp agency got a call one day was told I was doing great and had a medical appt and was let go. I am seeking a civil suit now due to the way I was let go.

Is from now on smoke free facility. Which I don't smoke so it don't effect me. The plant acting manager sabotages people's machines sometimes. The pay is decent though. Makes it worth it. Barely.

There's no real coherent training program set up here. The management just expects you to learn everything in one months time (which no one at this company has actually done judging from everyone I have spoken with.) Management cares to speak with you only when you do something wrong and when they're not lecturing you, they're walking around the factory looking down at the floor since eye contact makes them uncomfortable. The production meetings every Thursday are awkward and negative where the clueless people in charge (that have never worked on the lines themselves) attempt to tell everyone what a poor job they're doing without real justification. The meetings only demonstrate how out-of-touch the management are. On multiple occasions my co-workers have made them look stupid. One of my bosses spent his days in the restroom or playing mobile phone games in his office. You're not allowed anything to help the 12 hour, breakless days go by faster(wouldn't be a big deal if we had breaks.) This includes, radios, reading material or phones. Never once have I brought my phone into the factory but I was constantly being watched as if I was. At one point I was using the restroom and one of my supervisors came in to look through the crack in the stall to make sure I was only going to the bathroom. Having a phone, in the building, even turned off, gets you fired. Their obsession with their no phone policy is borderline fascist. Even for positions in this company which you clock out for a break you are prohibited from using a phone to call your family while not being paid. The reason for this is their extreme paranoia that someone is going to take pictures of all their safety hazard violations. Everything here is just a mess. Barely any heat during the winter, the time clock is 4 minutes off, the factory is running on windows 98 still, the bathroom uses swamp water pumped from a swamp on the property. Every time it rains the factory floods. This company acts as if they really need workers yet treats the ones they have horribly, pays them horribly and fires them for horrible reasons. If you're a women at this company, you can crush your hand in the barrel packer machine only after a few months of working on a line and be placed in charge of quality control where others have worked for years without relocation opportunities. Accident prone employees as well as those reluctant to show up are kept while others are fired and ill rewarded for their production numbers and hours worked. Paid time off is a joke whereas hours contribute zero to your PTO, whether you work 2 or 72 hours a week. The attendance policy is a joke, enforced only when they don't like you as with all rules at this company. One coworker cared of nothing, while others were forced to work 72 hours weekly(some for years and months without raises) Overtime, if your line requires it, (which it likely will) you will be forced to work without breaks. Therm-o-link is a shameful horrible company that doesn't care about their employees or their customers. They don't care about walking all over people. If you're thinking of applying here don't.
