I have been going to Meijer Maumee Pharmacy for years. In the past few years the service has changed. They do not care about saving you money. Every time we pick our scripts up we have to let the customer service person know about Good RX, our insurance and reexplain everything. They said they would keep it on file but they never do. When I went to pick up my wife’s scripts I did not know I had to re-give my info. So they charged the full amount for a script. My wife calls and they told her she needs to educate me on what to do. Then said that she would not give her the difference in the discount. We go through this every month!! Looking for a better Pharmacy now.

Unfortunately, Meijer is just as terrible for one's pharmaceutical needs as Kroger has become. Perhaps it's a 'grocery-store-pharmacy' issue. Both incidences in which I needed to fill my prescriptions here, Meijer's pharmacy staff were incredibly unprofessional regarding record keeping, customer service, and relaying accurate information, not to mention their phone app is practically useless; one of the worst I've ever attempted to utilize. I was told inaccurate and conflicting information several times in a row by different staff members over the phone regarding when I could pick up my prescriptions, causing much confusion at the window and resulting in me being sent away multiple times and told to come back at a different date, even after waiting for 2+ hours at one point. Driving to and from Meijer, for ultimately no reason on several occasions after receiving plenty of reassurance on the phone from staff members that my prescriptions would be ready to pick up, was particularly aggravating as I recently gave birth to my first born and struggle to have the time and means to leave my home to run errands. When I broke down in tears at the window and explained my situation, the pharmacy staff offered 0 empathy or compassion and completely ignored my request for help in problem solving, which they were plenty capable of doing. After many horrific experiences in such a short amount of time, I decided not to ignore the obvious red flags and take my business elsewhere. When I asked my provider to reroute my future prescriptions to Walgreens instead, she made the mistake of sending one to Meijer instead at first. When I called Meijer pharmacy staff to clarify what was going, the man that I spoke to was unbelievably rude and condescending. To no shock to me, when I later called Walgreens to have the matter handled, Walgreens staff members were nothing short of kind and supportive, and I was able to pick up my prescription shortly after with absolutely 0 issues. I'm also a provider myself and will not be recommending Meijer pharmacy to any of my clients for their prescription needs.

The new pharmacy tech, who looks like Gabe from the Office, and is just as unlikable, refused to run my medication through secondary medicaid insurance, which left me to go 3 weeks without my breathing medication. I am an active person so going without my breathing medication is a huge deal- not some small inconvenience. Everyone else at that pharmacy is excellent at what they do and I'll miss them.

I continuously have issues with getting things filled in time, even though every person you talk to claims to have “made a note” that the prescription should be reoccurring. Currently switching pharmacies.
