Don’t expect an Applebees. This is the type of place where the customers and employees know each other by name. And where customers always sit at the same table. It’s 110+ years old. Food was definitely comfort food with a “meat and potatoes” type-vibe. It’s unique because they walk you through the dessert case on your way to seating. Food was filling. Staff was pleasant and friendly.

First time here and was greatly impressed.......even though we got there just an hour after they opened and was behind a church group of about thirty people we still got seated, drinks and food in a pretty fair amount of time and all that even with them being short of help.... I was very surprised!!!!!!.....oh yeah, and the Saturday special was homemade chicken and noodles over homemade mashed potatoes and the portion was not skimpy..... really liked this place and will definitely revisit in the very near future...... I guess it has been in business since 1912 if I understand correctly......they also have many many different kinds of homemade pies which I didn't try but boy did they look delicious....a double thumbs up from me for this place 👍👍!!!!!

A cozy cafeteria that's been around for 110 years! That's how you know this place is special, and the food is phenomenal! If you're a lover of comfort foods, you certainly won't go hungry. Not to mention the vast selection of pies, cookies and cakes for a take home dessert.

The food was exceptional, the service was fast and friendly. I was fortunate to meet the new owner who expressed that he wants to keep the food and service at the same high quality they have been in this 110 year old establishment.

If you are looking for a place to make you feel like Grandma is cooking, this is where you need to go. Our whole table had "homemade" dishes, like meatloaf, chicken fried steak, chicken and noodles over REAL mashed potatoes, fried green tomatoes and fried okra. It was all delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions and the whole place feels like somewhere you have and should visit often.

This is a well established restaurant with a lot of food options. The food is mostly geared to country cooking. They do a real good job getting the food fast, hot and restaurant quality. I have eaten home cooked country cooking food with a lot more flavor. However, they still did a very good job and I will definitely go back. Our waitress was wore out from several large crowds that just left as we were coming in but she truged through to keep up. On top of that she was very nice and willing to put up with my comedic shenanigans (aka dad jokes). My only issue is the very slight mildew smell. I would assume that the age of some of the wall paper and other decorative items had something to do with that. Overall, they are a restaurant with a rich history that has served its community for several generations. Great job Watt's Family Restaurant.

Love this place! You cannot find restaurants like this anymore. Please try to visit this place before it too is gone. Homemade gravies(out of this world!).My eight year old son told me to give this restaurant ten stars! Unfortunately, I can only give five. Not one plate on our table was not clean, even my five year olds, who is the pickiest eater known to man😂 I am serious.....she ate everything. She had the chicken strips and applesauce. She has NEVER eaten all of her chicken strips anywhere else. Awesome staff and clean restrooms. A solid place to go eat. Plus, 32 different kinds of homemade pies. You just can't beat this down-home restaurant experience at Watt's.

What a wonderful restaurant, all the food is amazing and cooked with love not heated up from a bag. Desserts of all kinds to take home. Okay

Took awhile to get our order in but it seemed like they only had one waitress for the whole back area so it's not her fault. Someone else brought our food and I had to send mine back as the mashed potatoes were only warm and the roast beef sandwich covered in gravy was room temperature. This is the 2nd time this has happened. The reason we drive a 1/2 hour and go back is that the food really is good and the waitresses are really nice. Just need to keep a check on food temperature.
