I loved this little shop the moment I entered. There, in the corner, sat the artist busily working on his art. I've purchased several of his works, including his fantasy books. I love this little place...give it a look and you'll be hooked!

This is my favorite place to go when I go to Cannon Beach. I could stand there and look at it all for hours. Every picture has something new to discover each time I look (more like examine). I've bought 2 absolutely stunning pictures that I will treasure forever, and countless cards for friends and fam.

Steidel's art is thoughtful, whimsical, and just truly lovely in that dark way the best fairytales are. Every trip to Cannon Beach includes a stop here and sometimes I find something that simply must come home with me.

First thing's first: This shop is cash only. Bring cash or hit the bank/ATM across the street! Cool old house with a front room full of fantasy paintings! The artist has a little painting nook in the front window and everything on display can be purchased. We've bought a couple paintings from here and many postcards, can't get enough!

Im an artist and honestly I never get genuinely like inspired by seeing someones work. I paint very differently in style but whenever i stop by this store im just like grounded by how much it pings inside my heart to look at this dreamlike artwork.

Step into a fairytale shop half expecting to see elves and faeries. Cozy shop with some beautiful, fantastical art work. Places like this just don't exist anymore and well worth a visit. Prices are very reasonable and you will invoke your inner child and imagination here.

What a fantastic shop, art and artist! William is a visual storyteller who creates provocative, thoughtful, scintillating scenes! We loved his work immediately and had to take a couple pieces home with us. This is a ‘Must’ if you’re anywhere near Cannon Beach!

I absolutely adore the artwork at Steidels. It's like it came straight out of a Disney movie. Fantasy pieces that are enchanting, as well as realism pieces that are simple captivating. I don't think this artist gets enough recognition for the work he does. I spoke with him one afternoon, he was sitting behind his surround art desk that he gets out with pulleys to lift up a section of the desk. I asked if he worked for Disney, he said he was offered a job, but was drafted for the war and had to do his duty. He would have been a great talent to have, maybe Pixar will find him for concept art. Be sure to take a peek inside, the building is also something you would think came from a Disney movie as well if you really stop and look at it.
