This place is the worst. I receive checks in the mail and the one I got today was completely damaged. They taped it up and taped up the envelope. Can't even go cash it. They apologize and say they are not responsible for damaged mail, even when they are the ones who damage it.

For my experience, I always receive neighbors packages and I would walk either a block or just a few house down to give it to the owner. Also, I've lost my package as well (so I'm assuming they either drop it off at another address or the pirate theft.) The delivery person NEVER picks up my mails whenever I put my mails in the mailbox. This has been the 6th times already! The would hide it with the pile that I just receive from them. Although the envelope isn't HEAVY at all, light as a feather they wouldn't even pick it up! Inside the post office, line is always long & only 2 person working in there. Very slow.

I run a business from home and I am very thankful for the Hermiston post office! Packages always ship out on time and the service is always great! If there’s ever an issue, they do everything they can to resolve it for me. Thank you for making my shipping process a breeze!

I live in a retirement facility. Two packages were expected yesterday. A book and a smaller package. I got the book. For the smaller package there was a "we tried but couldn't access the front door." There is a bloody, great press this to open door hadicapped device to the right of the door. It's hard to miss.

I've never had so many issues with timeliness of mail delivery until dealing with the Hermiston USPS. I've had mail returned that had been weighed on a postage meter at a business for being a few cents off from what the post office meter read. This was returned months after the initial mailing. (The counter people are nice despite the above issues.) If you want timeliness and your mail to arrive sometime when needed, use UPS or FedEx. Updated 3/21/2018 - Yet again, another lost delivery item for my place of work. Dropped off at the end of January to be mailed out and never made it to the company lock box.

I sent a certified letter, and requested return service... as I needed the returned letter as proof that I had attempted to contact the person. Finally, I got a notice in my mailbox that the letter had been returned and I had 15 days to pick it up. I went to pick it up a few days later when I could, and the post office had already sent my certified mail that had been stamped for Return Service Requested... to dead mail~! So...I got a case number, and followed up with a phone call. Apparently, nobody communicated anything to anyone so when I called they then were able to initialize my case and gave me another case number for the "mail recover center". They did apologize, but this should have never happened~! The mail I sent out was a certified letter that was requested to be returned so that it could show that I had attempted to contact the person... The returned mail being the part of proof that I needed~!! As important as this was for me, my mail was treated as unimportant as a can of worms.

You have had fill in workers. They speed far to fast on a street full of children. August 25th you had a fill in worker, that almost hit my son. I took her picture, shortly after she parked her postal truck that was picked up August 26th. Slow down or I will involve the police dept.

Apparently it is ok to tape up a box that was damaged during the shipping process and deliver it. My items were delivered to me damaged. The replacement was sent Priority (which should take 1-3 days) and I still haven't received it. It seems like every time I am expecting something to arrive through USPS they aren't able to meet their deadlines.
