I recently had my car inspected and about a week after I heard a noise coming from my front brakes. After hearing this I decided to take it to a different shop to have them take a look at it. I cannot believe how scammy this place is or that there are so many good reviews. I got a safety check done here and they gave me a bill for $60 despite being advertised for $44 ($35+$9 sticker fee) and the "best price in town". They also said a bunch of things need to be done on my car. They quoted me $770 to replace my rear brakes amongst multiple other things totalling almost $2000. They also wanted $40 to screw in a light bulb (I youtubed it, it's super easy to do). I called multiple other places and they quoted me 50-75% for all the things George's recommended. George Automotive always took good care of my car. They’re one of very few places that can fix European vehicles. They completed some technically challenging repairs on my BMW that no other mechanic in town would touch. Their services aren’t cheap but much more affordable than the dealership, and they really go out of their way to make sure all your needs are met.

Great service from start to finish, will work with you as needed through whatever needs fixed. Friendly support staff, and mechanics that will show you personally what is either wrong, getting there or needs to be monitored in the future. I recently took over a family car that was neglected, and it wasn’t until inspection time that I truly knew what was going on, maybe could’ve diagnosed it myself, but needed help all the same. While an up-front cost initially can seem overwhelming, there are ways to get there, and in the long run, you’ll be pleased you did what you did. I’ve known of this off-Mill St. staple for decades, which still rings true over the ownership passes. Need things done right and done the first time make an appointment here and become family, that’s how you’ll be treated once you know what you know.

My vehicle ended up needing repairs before it would pass state inspection and George’s was amazing to work with. They made sure to explain everything that was needed, set price expectations ahead of time, and had a loaner vehicle ready. When a part needed to be ordered they even came and picked up my vehicle and dropped it back off. The easiest shop in town to work with. Thank you for all of your hard work!!
