Drove 35 minutes to pick up material that they claim they had and it was the wrong material. Wasn't very happy was trying to do a job and needed specific material. Call ahead to make sure they had the material I needed. Needless to say I wasn't happy after driving 35 minutes out of my way. I was looking for a 024 trim coil. The guy I talked to on the phone said yes they had it and when I got there it was not the right product.

This is the place to go for any project. They are knowledgeable, helpful and practice excellent customer service. Delivery charges are reasonable. Try them you will be glad you did.

Terrible customer service. I was the only customer in the store and two employees having idle conversation. Did not bother to ask if I needed help after their chit chat. Was trying to save time because it was closer. I went to Fairview hardware instead very customer service oriented there and had what I was looking for which Carter lumber did not.

I do not come here regularly but when I do the workers are pretty fast and educated on what they’re getting me.. sometimes the younger kids have trouble finding items in such a large yard which is understandable.. but the reason why I give this a 3 star review is because the guy who seems to be in charge outside is never interested in helping anyone or always has an attitude... I’ve recieved special order windows and doors before and even caught him IN THE POLE BARN SLEEPING and he will get up and just leave to go somewhere else.. honestly the most rude person there who doesn’t have time for anyone else.. management that sleeps on the job doesn’t deserve the position

The driver’s are running around in very outdated trucks, e-logs are done with a phone and I’ve heard that everything is geared to end up falling back on their drivers, fines and all, in the event they’re stopped for say being on the company’s IPhone generated GPS punching in their next destination or checking on how many hours they have left to run. They have a very high turnover rate because they only use one driver per truck (I’m thinking because of safety reasons, there should be two, the equipment such as the trucks and their version of E-log, and the tickets being the driver’s responsibility (it would be if it were a moving violation on their part, say speeding)there should be two men in the truck, a ticking time bomb for injuries and such is not worth what their hourly wage is and well now you know why they’re so slow at delivering the goods!

Cashing out is prehistoric by the way they manually put in each item in. Hardly ever have material I need. I spend $70,000.00 minimum at Lowes each year. Carter lumber is seriously unethical and a waste of my time to shop at

If you are considering ordering Kitchen Cabinets do it with Heather at Carter Lumber Heather is a second generation Kitchen Designer. Her mother actually designed our first Kraft Maid custom kitchen in 2000. Back splash is next!! Thank-you Heather, Deb Adams
