I like to buy a few specialties that are not typically available in Western or local grocery stores. And while I'm there, I might as well do my produce shopping. They have good quality fruits and vegetables and the staff is always friendly.

Amazing selections of fruits, vegetables, meat, cheese, drinks, and Latin ingredients. They do carry other cuisine products but heavy Latin American emphasis, which makes perfect sense. Prices are great and staff is very friendly. Love having it walking distance away.

I've shopped the original location ( as I was 2 blocks away ) and was so disappointed they had to leave. Have gone to their new location. Miss it so much. Glad to hear they'll be closer. Meat department is fabulous! As is the produce! Quick! Open that new location! ( And I'm an older Caucasian who loves to cook regular American and other ethnic cuisines! You're the best!

This was the spot when it was located on Columbia pike, especially the food truck that was parked in the parking lot, by the way does anyone know the name of that food trucks? Would love to remember the names of the trucks that were there. Food star had everything that I needed to make authentic homemade food. I'm glad they moved closer to us. It's now located where toys r us use to be. Hopefully I'll see them food trucks again soon.

I love how convenient this store is. I love going here and buying fresh fruits and vegetables, also a good variety of Tropical produce and frozen goods like papaya, mangos, tamarind, guanabana, etc. I had only one bad experience with some meat I was sold. I think the butcher though I did not have a lot of knowledge about beef so he gave me a bad piece. But anyway 5 stars.

I shop here often, they are a bit on the expensive side since they are local grocery store. But if you drive searching else where can save you a buck. Staff aren’t all that friendly, its like a 5/10 on customer service. Variety of latino products. Meats are ok, doesn’t really say where they’re from of how the animals are raised. No organic products. Always pallets on the isles or products on the floor, which makes it hard to shop around. Its an ok quality store. Its close by so its convenient for some stuff. But definitely not number one choice.

Be careful buying Meat and produce. Twice I have bought steak expiring in a week and went to cook 3 days later and it was spoiled. Unlike other stores they do not honor the expiration date on meat . The manager told me it says right on the receipt 48 hr return only for meat. The lettuce I bought was rusty in the middle and same thing, didn’t honor a return. I gave them a second chance but won’t be buying meat again and will buy produce carefully. It’s a unique store with lots of international produce and products but management is awful and don’t care about customer.
