First time we've been in there for years food was really good it was a little slow but not to bad will go back just plan on spending some time in there not a run in and eat and go

Again pleasantly surprised..the food is so fresh and full of flavors. From the fresh rooms with garlic oil to dip to the fresh non iceberg salad to the wonderful seafood pasta..the special..with trout scallops, shrimps, and clams. We ended with an amazing tiramisu. Service was amazing and friendly. Will definitely come again.

We were looking for a nice Italian restaurant in the area for my girlfriends bithday. We scrolled across this restaurant, and saw they had really good reviews so we decided to give it a shot. I can tell you now, ignore all the good reviews… The server we received was rude, and the wait on food took forever. We had the calamari for starters, which tasted like fried rubber, and the batter was mushy and not in the slightest bit crispy. Gross! Keep in mind I love calamari. I had the carbonara, which was aweful, had maybe 2 bites before asking for the check, which was an astounding $80, for 2 starters and 2 entres. It literally had about a 1/4 cup of grease in the bottom, and scrambled eggs inside! I highly recommend you save your time and money, and go else where.

My husband and I are from out of state and were told about Sal’s Bistro by one of the family members!! We decided to try it out and let me tell you it was one of the best experiences we’ve had since we have been in Virginia. The place had a very family oriented feel. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was exceptional!! Our waitress made us feel very at home and even as busy as the restaurant was, she took excellent care of us!! I would recommend this place to everyone and if we ever make it back this way again, we will definitely stop!!

Food was great and the service as top notch. Went to Shenandoah for my mom's birthday and we were staying near by at Woodstock. We felt like eating Italian and we were not disappointed.

Excellent service at this authentic Italian restaurant. It is Sal in the back doing the cooking, with pleasant, accommodating family members as servers. Side salads featured baby spinach, black olives, tomatoes and cucumber with dressing on the side. Ordered the Seafood Combo, fresh catch of the day, mussels,shrimp, scallops,calamari and clams in a fresh garlic tomato sauce.
