First of all, Jacques is a fantastic Manager! I actually often shop at Wholefoods, The Fresh Market etc. But I often find expired food once I get home. Super frustrating. I have not had that happen once at this Food Lion, but I can't speak for other locations. This one in particular is run by a very kind man (Jacques) and he actually told me about their strategy of rotation to keep an eye on dates to make sure that customers aren't buying expired foods and having a bad experience. I've worked in inventory and that right there is a full time job in itself, so THANK YOU for giving me peace of mind when I buy my lunch. Secondly, his staff is always very friendly to me and it makes me want to go there to shop even when I don't need to, just to say hi! They do a great job, Food Lion please treat these people well!

Outstanding produce! They’re also open until 11:00 p.m. located on Centerville Turnpike and Kempsville Road. I went to the Walmart near them first and they were low on the fresh fruit inventory but high on prices. Food Lion came through with great produce fairly priced. This store is not inexpensive on anything tho. The produce wasn’t as pretty in May 2022 but the fried chicken and potato wedges looked delicious.

As for this location, they seem to keep things well in stock and are usually polite. The Deli has all of the basics but not much more. They do put out hot food, but it never seems too fresh to me personally. They have a moderate selection of fresh baked goods and they are usually really good. One qualm I do have is that they never seem to have more then one or two cashiers working.

When I went to Food Lion they were out of stock on everything but I will excuse it this time because of the snow we received! The cashier was extremely rude and unprofessional ! So I'll be going to a another store .

Had everything I was looking for and was very convenient. Store is well laid out and well stocked. My only complaint is that some very heavy items such as 2 liter soda bottles are placed on high shelves- very dangerous for we older folks.

I had a very nice trip to Food Lion this morning. Got my hair cut then ran in for a few things. The store is very organized and is adequately stocked. They usually have good sales and deals at Food Lion. This store has wonderful cashiers and baggers. They are very polite and friendly. This store is also very neat clean and organized.
