I went there to buy 5 chicks. They are friendly and patiently walked me through some initial steps that I need to pay special attention to. I would recommend this barn to my friends.

It's a great place to buy chicks and everything you need to raise them. Baxter doesn't have a "chick day" like a feed store or a co-op would have. They're a farm, so various chicks are born every week. Check their facebook page, call, or text them in order to know what's available. The chicks were healthy, and friendly. They seemed to be quite comfortable with being handled. The staff is very knowledgeable, will take you through care, tips, and also sell you everything you need to care for them. Pricing is good as well, you won't save much (if at all) by shopping elsewhere, just buy everything you need there. The one exception might be the bin/trough where you'll raise your baby chicks. You may want to buy a large storage container from Home Depot instead of one of the steel tubs they have there.

Good place to get baby chicks. They are vaccinated and you can get current stocked breeds from their FB page. We recently got lavendar orphinton, Easter egger and Cream crest bar chicks from them.

Baxter Barn is my favorite farm store for everything hen. I have bought chicks and adults from them over the years and everyone has been healthy. If I have lost one, it was long enough after purchase that the fault is mine. I buy scratch and layer feed from Baxter Barn. My hens are laying at full tilt right now. The folks that run the place are helpful. I enjoy wandering around looking at the other birds and critters for sale. I don't need a little pig, but it is fun to see them.

What a great place I cannot wait to truly enjoy this place after the virus BS is over. We picked these ladies up this afternoon and I cant wait to be a baby chicken pappa again! These girls will love the coop & run we have with our other girls!

It’s really hard to find people these days that stand behind their craft 100%. Cory from Baxter barn is one of these People. Besides the fact that I wished I lived next door to this place, so I could hang out with the donkeys, the quality of product and service is supreme . You should automatically assume that they have the animals best interest in mind, which might not always align with what you want! But isn’t that the way it should be? I would strongly suggest supporting this incredible locally owned and historic business. So go to Baxter barn and soak up some knowledge from Cory while you’re at it! You’ll be glad you did!

We visited Baxter Barn for the first time to pick up chicks and loved it there. Brandon was really helpful with explaining what we needed and how to handle the chicks. We've had chickens for a few years, but had not had chicks before. The kids had a great time looking at everything and the place is just adorable. I had originally looked at ordering chicks online but the cost of shipping (and the stress on the chicks) made them much more expensive than what we could get at Baxter Barn and I wouldn't have had anyone to talk to. I highly recommend them.

My saving grace! I've had the amazing luck of coming across this Farm/Company when I was shopping around for chickens to add to my flock over a year ago. After purchasing my new chicks and supplies from them the first time i was blown away by their customer service, from start to finish. The staff is very knowledgeable, kind, and patient. I've gone back and have purchased all my livestock needs through them, from coops, feed, livestock and medicine. I've been on the barn about 6 times over the last year and Brandon the Manager has always made me feel appreciated and has had the time to answer or help me find solutions to all my livestock needs and questions, even the ones that wouldn't lead to a sell. At Baxter Barn you can tell the animals there are well taken care of and loved. I've purchased animals several different times at different ages. I was worried that the older birds wouldn't be as friendly as the ones I raised from chicks. The staff took the time to help me pick out birds that would compliment my needs. The animals are handled with kind hands. You can tell by the questions they ask you that they want their livestock to go to good homes. That you have the knowledge and materials to care for them. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place. I know I could contact them right now with a silly question and they would respond in a timely manner. I also know that if I had any issues or problems with my purchases that together we could find a solution. Its my forever go to for anything. Thank you Baxter Barn and the employees for setting the bar high.

My husband and I bought brand new baby chicks from Baxter Barn back in May. The staff took the time to talk to us about the various breeds and what to expect. They went through all the necessary steps to care for them and also had everything we could need to get our flock started. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable and very kind. You could tell they loved their farm. I will always go to Baxter Barn for our needs.
