This place is a bad joke! Don't go here unless you absolutely have to and if you have to, check the expiration dates, and be prepared to wait in a very long line! Management should be embarrassed at the amount of trash that their employees put on our streets and into our community!

Nice big clean store. Wide variety of items and they even had a freezer section.

Worst employees I've ever seen. Some hide in the isles , while others stand outside and smoke while there's 10 or more people in line. This place needs managment badly. Sadly this is one of the few places in town. I'll drive 20 minutes to markleysburg from now on. Not sure why they remodeled and added registers if they're not going to use them.

This store is terrible. It is always a mess. It is over priced. The staff are always out doing something in the store often leaving you to wait at the register for someone to come ring you up. I hate the fact that Bruceton has this sham of a business and not a proper grocery store. Family Dollar and stores like them do nothing for the community's that they are in. They are predatory businesses that prey on lower income areas and often make them worse by funneling the money out of the area instead of into it. Poor wages, High priced, unhealthy choices. But unfortunately its the only game in town. I feel dirty shopping here, and I try to avoid it.

I personally only stop at this store because it’s the only local store in the area that is 5 minutes away verses roughly 20 minutes away. I don’t do my major shopping here, I just stop in for things here if I forget them when I do my larger shopping trips in Morgantown, at the larger store chains there. I pickup milk or bread here when they have them that is, because most things are never stocked or are being stocked during the day and the carts are blocking the whole aisle. Also the servous is not friendly nor helpful, most of the time all the staff is outside smoking and talking on their phones. Then they only have one register open 90% of the time. This is a store for the quick pickups of forgotten items from the store, or the items you run out of and need quickly, or just a place to stop in and buy pop and leave. It’s not a clean friendly store to stop by and look around it’s a get in and get out fast stop.

To make this short and sweet and to the point that don’t want to read my book long review. I would personally only recommend this store if you can’t make it to a better store such as Walmart, Kroger, Aldi’s, a local shopping market, etc. such as the ones located in Morgantown or Kingwood, Wv that are only 15-30minutes farther away. You can suffer through to get one or two things from here it’s easy but I wouldn’t recommend shopping here for anything larger then a “I forgot sour cream” or “we’re out of milk honey” trip. Personally living in Bruceton Mills for many years of my life I have been to this store many time. It’s by far from clean, or organized and products are usually in the wrong places or are damaged. Such as dented cans, busted torn box products, toilet paper and paper towels are open and left on shelves for sale. Also it’s called the “Family Dollar” but it’s by far cheaper to go on a large grocery trip in Morgantown, or Kingwood then here even if you live in the area. Of course it would still be cheaper to get milk or eggs etc. at this store or one of the two gas stations down the road from the store, then driving 15-30 minutes one way and back for something. As far as the staff goes, none of them are very friendly; though there are one or two women that are a bit more friendly then the others. The staffs service skills are not very good either. They’re always changing and can’t keep anyone employed. Very few faces have stuck around long working there. Most of the staff are very poorly trained and need work on knowing where things are. They aren’t very helpful, and are usually very rude if you ask them for help on things and usually say “I don’t know” to your questions. Another word to add on the staff, they’re always smoking and never inside at the registers or register I should say sinc wine is usually opened while the other two are closed. This happens all the time when needed for checking out, price inquires, returns, or questions. From being at the store personally I have asthma and cigarette smoke triggers my attacks and most staff always stand right beside the main enterence to smoke. This can’t be good for anyone let alone someone like me that suffers from a breathing problem, or someone who is pregnant, etc. second hand smoke is horrible to deal with and you shouldn’t have to when going to the store. I can say the store needs some help and either management needs to step up or be fired and advanced authority needs to be taken into consideration. Being that this store is the only one within 15-30 minutes in drivable distance they should be ready for the regular challenges that come with working in retail. Sadly they’re not and the line for checking out is always long, if help is needed you can’t find it, and it’s a horrible place to go shopping at for more then the regular “I forgot eggs” or “honey we need Tylenol” trip.

I was disappointed. I thought the staff was unfriendly. No one offered to help me find what i needed and when I got cash back she wouldn't give me anything smaller than 20s, didn't even suggest a solution or another place to get cash back. Not to mention it's a $1.50 fee. Will definitely not return. The attitude was very cold.

This Family Dollar was a much needed addition to the local community. It isn't large in comparison to other locations, but they do carry a wide variety of items. This is a busy store and their parking lot is too small for the amount of traffic they get, so you might have to wait for a spot or park across the street in the fire department parking lot. I was there recently and spent more than 15 minutes waiting in line, with both checkouts open. I think the checkout traffic flow worked much smoother before they rearranged the store and moved the registers.

Layout is confusing, but the prices are pretty cheap. Not bad considering you'd have to drive to Morgantown for comparable product selection, though. Frozen and refrigerated foods is a little lacking, but it's definitely better than it was before they remodeled. Lack of produce is a bit disappointing.

This store is good for Bruceton! Convenient hours, good selection. It is difficult to find items because layout is confusing. Some staff friendlier than others but that's true with alot of retail.
