Plus They like to run your biggest bills through first followed by these smaller ones so you get charged overdraft fees. They've got in trouble for this before but yet they still do it so I recommend you watch your statements

ATM machines outside the building are much slower and time consuming than nearby competitor banks. If you use Zelle, this bank is NOT for you, as you will be unable to transfer funds. The banking app is low quality, visually boring, and simply does not compare to banking apps of, say, Chase and BB&T, for example. Available funds, at least as shown in the app, are not always up-to-date. There have been MANY times when my available funds will show as XXXX one moment, and then show a number that is dramatically different later, after having made no purchases or withdrawals. Examining the activity on my reveals that old purchases, some over a week old, had not been deducted from my available funds. I find myself having to keep a log of my spending and withdrawals to have an accurate count of my actual funds, they way we had to do twenty-plus years ago when writing checks were still a thing. If you bank with multiple institutions, this bank is ok as a non-primary. If you use one bank, avoid this one and just go across the street to BB&T, hop online and make an account with Chase (or drive to a Chase branch).

To everyone out there just wanna say don’t ever bank with city national I’ve been trying to get a account closed for weeks now and they keep pushing off telling me “oh it has to be escalated” or “sorry there’s pending transactions” i don’t know if it’s there way of trying to retain customers but def makes for not having to worry about losing them plus I don’t have over draft protection which means it should NOT allow things to go threw if they money isn’t there and they still let it and get charged a over draft on top of it just my experience never bank with them once I get done hopefully at some point getting the accounts closed now as I wanted just one originally now I’m closing them all I’ll never go back

My boyfriend has an account here, so he went to go withdraw some money for a down payment on a house. We sat briefly in the lounge to gather papers, thoughts, and etc. I am legally blind and with my eye disorder I have ptosis (makes my eyelids droopy) They decided it was necessary to call a cop who made us leave. I tried explaining that I had ptosis and legally blind, that I was not high. His response was, "your kind doesn't need to be here." MY KIND! I have a disability. This is discrimination on both the bank and police department. I was ultimately denied service for something I can't help. This story should run in the paper and news so the public is aware of the hate and injustice of the rednecks that work here. If it happened because I am blind then they will more than likely stereotype any minority
