Food was great! Hashbrowns were crispy so I'll be back for those! Service was a smidge slow, but I wasn't in much of a hurry so it wasn't too much of an issue. I had the smoked sausage omelet and I'd recommend it.

Courtney was our waitress, her attention and waiting on us was outstanding. My wife and I enjoyed our breakfast and the prices are reasonable. We'll come again.

Great food and great people! My grandma has been struggling with her health and not eating much of anything. She ate their homemade chicken soup and couldn’t say enough about it. The waitress was telling her boss how much my grandma loved it and sent her home with a fairly sizeable amount of soup. She was so happy. I ditto the soup being good and everything else I ate was delicious too

If you are looking for a great place for a down home breakfast, Sonny's Kitchen is the place. Be warned, though, bring your appetite. Five of us arrived at about 9:30am on a Saturday and the place was full. Had about a 15 minute wait for a table. There is a section with some seating in back, so no big deal. Once seated, we soon had drinks while we looked over the very extensive menu. There is a lot to choose from, so anyone stopping by should be happy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I had the chicken fried steak with hash browns and pancakes. The meal could have served two people. The steak is about the size of a dinner plate, breaded and fried to perfection. The hash browns were a delightful blend of crisp and tender potatoes. They didn't seam to be seasoned, but there is salt and pepper on the table so no problem. There were two pancakes about the size of a saucer and were lite and flavorful. One member of the group had the crepes and said they were a little thick but also good. All of the other meals were very good and we decided that Sonny's would be a favorite place from now on.

Exactly what you'd expect! Typical American diner with a big menu. Wasn't a huge fan of the cheese curds but the salad and egg white omelette were both great!

Updating 9/27/18: Even better on subsequent trips. Service was fantastic. Everything cooked exactly to order! Great spot for breakfast! It filled up completely at 9am on a Sunday. The service was great. I recommend a scrambler or a skillet. The eggs benedict was just ok (eggs and potatoes good but the hollandaise wasn't the greatest). The Haystack skillet was the favorite of the table.

Sonny's Kitchen is a nice diner style restaurant offering additional food variety to downtown Oregon with decent value. The chicken fried chicken was bland with a cheap gravy taste though the meat was very tender, I did however thoroughly enjoy the prime rib which was cooked, and seasoned very well. The service was interesting to say the least.

I stopped in for a late breakfast with 2 friends of mine. Sonny's was recommended to me by a friend who lived in Oregon. Great hometown local restaurant. Homemade food, food portions and reasonable prices. I ordered the Vegetarian 3 Egg Omelett with hashbrowns and wheat toast. The omelette had spinach, mushrooms, onions, and broccoli in it. It was very good. Service was fast and friendly.
