I used to think that Spices restaurant had the best Jamaican food in Jacksonville, Florida. I’ve been giving them business for over 10 years. I have to share this with everyone…EVA’S is by far the best Jamaican food I’ve ever had. Period. I have a LOT of Jamaican friends who’s food I’ve tried and I cook Jamaican food ALL THE TIME. Eva’s is THE BEST! You will not be disappointed at all. I ordered yesterday and ordered again today! Definitely a must try! I will not order from anyone else moving forward. They are my go to moving forward. Thank you for providing delicious CLEAN and FRESH food!

I asked for a large oxtails with cabbage. Yellow rice. Food was awesome!

The food is extremely OVERPRICED and the taste makes it worse. The patties are cold, the oxtails were tasteless, and the cabbage was sour. I traveled 30 mins, based on the reviews to be disappointed. The reviews are very misleading. The food is so bad I wanna give it a 0 but that’s not possible so I’m giving it a 1 star. It’s honestly over hyped and I’m convinced the owner begs people for 5 star. I do not recommend this establishment AT ALL. Save your coin and gas, with the price of gas going up the owner should be ashamed of herself robbing folks. My cornflakes at the house was more satisfying than the food I purchased from Eva’s Jamaican Kitchen.

Customer service was great. As soon as I walked in I was greeted. I asked the lady to surprise me with either a beef or chicken patty, which she gave me a beef patty. The food was delicious. It was my first time coming here and I’ll definitely return. The patty was well seasoned and crispy. The ox tails was tender with a mouth full of flavors with every bite of delight. The goat was spicy but well seasoned and tender. I’m not one for rice but the yellow rice was really good especially mixed with the goat sauce mixed in. And the cabbage had a nice hint of flavor that wasn’t over bearing and fresh.

I have to agree with many. I'm from Barbados by way of NYC and the food here is very bland! No flavor at all. It looks good but tasteless. The staff is nice. I don't mind paying for good food but this place is overpriced. I've gone 3x's hoping for a different experience but not. Guess I have to keep driving to the westside for good Caribbean food. The patties and cocoa bread was really good. The shrimp patties are extremely spicy though. I

The staff was very friendly and nice so I hate to give this a 1 star but this is my 2nd time giving them a try. One time I came I spent almost 30 and the food was microwaved. Thought I would give it another try, but I definitely won’t be coming back. First off the meal came up to 18.12 (added chicken pattie) expensive for food that is meh. The cabbage was basically cold slaw with peppers. Rice and peas where okay. Jerk chicken was good but not yardie style liked I asked. Didn’t have a lot of meat. The chicken pattie wasn’t very good. But the place was very clean and customer service was awesome.

The staff is friendly the establishment appears clean. My first experience the food was good but my second experience they gave me sour cabbage. The moment I opened the bag when I got home I could smell the odor. I purchased around 12pm. I definitely have to find another place for Caribbean food. They knew it was bad they mixed it in with fresh cabbage.

Awesome Jamaican food and very polite staff for the most part! Portion size for good for very decent price. I think we got the medium size and we had leftovers. The only suggestions I would make is that the yellow rice I got was a little on the hard side, maybe they didn’t cool it long enough? But still, I’m giving it 5 stars for quality Jamaica food!

Restaurant was clean and they offered a variety of options. Service was great also and there wasnt much of a wait for my order. I had jerk chicken, ackee & salt fish with rice &peas and plantains. Food tasted good but i was Very disappointed to discover that the "jerk chicken" was baked chicken with some sort of peppery rub that mildly tasted like an authentic jerk chicken rub. I also orederd the goat soup that was a very peppery brot with 1 dumplin, 1 slice of carrot and 1 piece of meat for $5... Highly disappointing. Would i recommend... Yes.
