I recently moved into a residence and inherited a stationary tank. Called on a Monday to have Ferrell Gas come out to fill it, said it would be 1 to 3 business days. Great! Next week they came out on Tuesday, unannounced, and turned off my tank afterwards because they couldn't come in to make sure the pilot was lit. This is all well and fine, but when I attempted to lite the pilot myself, I couldn't get any gas to flow. Thinking this could be user error, I called the customer support line back only to find that it would be $90/hour to send a technician out to take a look at it.

I would give them no stars if that was an option. We used Ferrellgas last year and the guy that came to inspect and fill the tank was just straight up rude. The gage also was stuck at 40% and we never could get anyone to come fix it. Since we were under the impression that we BOUGHT the gas tank because that's what I requested last year, this year we decided to go with a different company. Well, thankfully I haven't had the tank filled yet because I received a "equipment rent fee" in the mail. When I called to ask why I received this, the receptionist was very rude and informed me that was "just a rental tank, they won't sell that one to you. You can buy a new one, but they're expensive so it would be best if you just pay the $70 rent fee". So I said, well we are going with a different company this year so we will no longer be needing this one. All she said was "fine" and hung up on me. She didn't even ask my address or anything so I don't know if they even know where to come get it at! Oh well, guess that's their problem. They are rude all the way around and then get mad when they loose a customer. Yeah, makes perfect sense.

I wrote to the president of Ferrellgas and of course I never got a response or even a card saying we don’t care we are going to charge you what we want. I own my residence with two tanks, one I own and the other I lease from Ferrellgas. On a recent delivery I was charged twice the fees, hazmat and fuel surcharge which amounted to approximately 18% additional charge for one delivery to my property. The tank I own is not maintained by Ferrellgas and the other is never checked. These expenses should be part of doing business and included in the price of your product and delivery, I don’t pay additional fees for training (a company responsibility) or polices (set by the company) or (procedures for the company) or (equipment covering everything from customers’ propane systems (which are never checked) or to support company facilities and vehicles operations (which should be in the company annual budget not dependent on customer fees). Not a way to run a business. I as a customer have nothing to do with the problems of running your business I should only be paying a set price for the product delivered to my location. At least then I can compare Ferrellgas prices with other companies. There are companies that set their price including company expense for doing business instead of ripping off the customer.

We have gone through several propane companies over the last 20 years. They all made promises, but seldom kept them. Don't care to type all the problems we had with their unprofessional service. Then we swapped over to Ferrellgas (Gurley) about 4 years ago. We have not had one single problem since. They keep out account straight and they get the propane to us when they say they will. We are 100% happy with Ferrellgas (Gurley).

Had 12% in tank when called for refill and ended up running out and they still never got around to filling my tank. They won't do off route emergency fill ups. We ran out of gas on coldest night of year and 3 days later we were still out of gas. If they are so damn busy you'd think they would hire other drivers or work their current drivers later. I sometimes work 14-16 hour days to get a project done and my business doesn't have people relying on it for basic necessities! SHAME ON YOU FERRIL GAS! YOU ARE TERRIBLE!!!
