Just wanted to share my feelings as I have recently used MM for some troubleshooting (rough running,check engine). Hard to find a guy like this especially in a small town. This is my first review ever I believe so that’s how strongly I feel, he’s honest, straightforward and does really care. Not one person in this small town has said nothing but positive about him.I have seen a lot of women taking advantage of because they’re women( some men also) with no mechanical sense. This man seems above and beyond that, just plan ahead as he gets backlogged, but it’s worth the wait IMO Service: Auto engine diagnostic

We were visiting the area and this mechanic took great care of us when we needed new tires before leaving town the next day. Really appreciated their help and the fair pricing! Flat tires on a trip are not fun, so we are thankful to have received quick care from them. Highly recommend.

Nestled in downtown Boulder Creek, this gem of a mechanic shop is my go-to for almost any car issue. Shaun and his co-workers are honest, kind, courteous, skilled, and efficient. When a car part didn't arrive on time on the eve of a big trip, Shaun made sure that my vehicle was ready to roll, working extra hours to get it done. I appreciate that!

Since my last review, Chris retired and the business changed hands. The new owner Sean was one of the shop mechanics that worked for Chris. Sean continues the tradition of honest high quality work and customer service. I can't recommend them more highly. My previous review from 2017: Owner Chris is well known and respected within the San Lorenzo Valley for his charitable work and honesty. I've been a loyal customer for more than 30 years, and still bring my cars here for any major work even after I moved away to Santa Cruz. Fully certified mechanics, quality work. Phone appointments recommended because they are popular in the valley.

This place is so busy because they are that great. When I dropped my truck off, I asked them about how many hours it’d take as I’d be waiting around town for it. They told me they’d work on my truck first, bless their hearts. Carlos and Sean are amazing. They are professional and kind. Oh, and I’m so thankful that they are an official smog check station. I finally had my truck smog checked, and it passed. Yay!

Sean worked on my Honda when I first arrived in BC and it needed new front struts. Even through some frustration of his suppliers providing a couple flukes with faulty replacement parts at first, he remained easy to deal with and kept me patient to wait because he didn't want me to get the car back unless it was perfect. He upgraded the parts and thst went above and beyond and he replaced my rear shocks at no extra charge for having to wait a few days to get the car back. Good guy with an honest approach. Earned my business loyalty.

The service at the Mountain Mechanic is exceptional. I brought my Ford Mustang in for some work and they got it up and running. Their rates are reasonable and I didn’t feel like I was being oversold on work like many other shops I have been to. I highly recommend them for their quality and customer service. This shop and the guys working there are phenomenal! I had an appointment and even on what looked like a very busy day, they were right on time. Completely reasonable pricing, honest, friendly, detail oriented, and willing to explain things to someone like me who doesn’t know much about cars at all. They’ve won a new, happy customer!
