They are a bit expensive. Many reviews are not good but the store is getting better. I think they have a new manager and they got rid of people who were not the nicest or helpful. The employees are nice and the store is now cleaner than it was. They carry a variety of things but unless you can't go any where else or you can't find what you want, just beware of their pricing as some things are very very expensive. They do carry beer, wine and liquor along with all kinds of snacks. They now also have many different frozen foods, (Fast foods, snack foods, pizzas, cream pies, ice cream and more). They have ice and, they have some fresh fruit and veggies now, yee ha! They have a few unique foods and items as well. But, like I said, they are expensive so beware. They have been in the area for a very long time. I hope my review helps give a good idea about the store.

Love the biscuits and gravy!!! The staff treat you like family! The young woman with the long dark hair that works there is gorgeous and always knows just what to say to make my day better.

a place that has a lot of History to the locals. It was one of two stores in the area. The thing with this place is that the owners will try to help you out. Where other store wouldn't. It's one of the oldest places that been around for more than 27 years, and always did good for the people. It's also the only place to get gas for 30 miles. They serve food there, you can get hamburgers, or sandwiches. The food is not bad. Thanks

A great little store! Employees are personable and courteous. Nice change from the bay area "attitude". Burger "men" make an exceptional burger, take and bake pizza or sandwich. Hey when you're 40 min from everything, their "fastfood" really hits the spot. Thre woman that owns it is really a great lady! Good business woman! If you're here on a weekend during summer, there will be a wait for gas, service, ect... but not very long.

Please keep getting your groceries there and not the stupid dollar general , you gonna pay a couple extra pennies but you keep being a hard-working man alive and eating. If everyone starts only going to the Dollar General we’re going to put that cool little star and that man out of business. Support the mom-and-pop stores I’m not big government from China! The guy is really nice too. Support Don Pedro not China!

Well... they DO have most everything you may need for your weekend camping experience (food, drink, ice, etc.) but since they are the only market in the area they can charge you what they want. Best stock up before your trip and use them for your go to when you need that forgotten item or run out of something. Very good deli though and the staff is pretty cool. Gas is expensive everywhere up here so don't hold it against them. No bears or cougers have been spotted in the parking lot that I know of but look out for crazy Pete. He's harmless but does hang out in the parking lot and does smells like a wet bear.

The owners work hard to keep it stocked and clean. They have anything from milk bread soda and beer to meat and produce and everything in between. They also have hats novelty items liquor and gasoline. They are friendly fun and during the summer season even somehow to keep it together when the weekend warriors come off the lake to shop all at the same time it would sometime seem. They have a grill where they cook good food at an affordable price. If your just passing by I recommend you stop by for lunch and say hi or stop in the morning for a cup of coffee with some friendly locals who are usually there.

This is a little market in a small community and is the only choice for groceries for about 15 miles. My family has lived in Lake Don Pedro for over 35 years and has shopped at the market for that entire time (or, at least since it opened). I can say we're done with this market. I'm tired of being treated like they're doing me a favor to allow me to shop in their store. Went in the other day and asked to shop in the hardware section of the store which is a separate building. The owner's wife directed me to get the key from another woman that works there (think it's her sister). I went and asked for the key and she said she had to finish stocking the shelf she was working on before she could help me. Assuming there was a misunderstanding I said, multiple times, I think she just wanted you to give me the key. She essentially seemed to ignore me and continued to stock the shelf seemingly unwilling to be bothered with reaching into her pocket and handing me the key. After about five minutes of this, I finally said, "never mind" and walked out. Won't be returning ever. To be clear this occurrence was the final straw in many encounters similar to it and is in addition to often rotting produce and inedible burgers from their grill section. My big hope is they'll sell the store some day and we can get back to having a decent market for our community.
