There are certain things I go here for, but it is invariably an unpleasant experience to visit this store. Staff is often rude for no reason, which is a signal they are being treated in a similar fashion by mgmt, and the store and parking lot are in a state of disrepair. For instance, there is rancid oil from a broken oil trap that has leaked all over the parking lot for months. It stinks, is disgusting, and they’ve done nothing to clean it up — it doesn’t cost that much to pressure wash your parking lot from time to time. There are rat traps set up all along the perimeter of the store and I don’t think they are ever emptied because they always smell like rotting rats. Place is ridiculous — Sprouts has really let this place go.

Really like this location. The parking is good and plenty as it shares with a pet store and a Habit Burger and a couple other things. The store itself is a good size and has all you'd want from a Sprouts. Nothing new or interesting compared to others but nonetheless. One of the best kept secrets is the 12 flavor gummy bears in the BAG not the plastic container in the bulk food section.

If you can avoid shopping at this Sprouts location, AVOID IT. There is a particular employee there, a cashier- LaShonda, that doesn't practice the friendly values Sprouts corporation claims they implement. Based on her personal rude attitude, she should perhaps consider seeking employment at Food 4 Less in the hood instead of dragging down Sprout's reputation which leadership has taken pride in building.. Plz do better. Dear owner, Thank u.. Yes, I've tried several times to leave feedback/an image online but it appears the Sprouts contact page has a glitch on it. After clicking "submit" it shows it processing but it goes on into infinity & does not confirm the msg has been sent. I also emailed these addresses regarding my concerns with hopes the msg gets relayed to the right department about ur employee belittling me: customerrelationsreply @ sprouts . com claimsupport @ sprouts . com Here was my msg: "Lending a Friendly Hand At Sprouts, we pride ourselves on our unwavering commitment to providing our customers with friendly, knowledgeable and engaging service to support them on their healthy living journeys each and every day. Our commitment to friendly service doesn’t stop at our stores." - Sprouts LaShonda, a cashier at the Albany, CA store overseeing self check-out does not believe in treating Sprout's customers with respect let alone being friendly. I used the self check-out register to purchase my groceries noticing there was a yellow handwritten post-it note on the screen stating: "card only no cash". However, after I requested cash back (which was an option given by the debit/credit card machine) LaShonda stormed over to me & asked if I could read & did I not see the yellow post-it?? She was loud & embarrassed me & herself in front of the other customers. She continued to belittle me as I explained to her that it was my perception that the register DID NOT TAKE CASH opposed to giving it back. Perhaps it would behoove Sprouts to have a professionally typed corporate note stating "Sorry, no cash back" instead of caveman-ly saying "card only no cash". To make matters worse as she went looking for a manager to fix the issue she mumbled rude remarks about me which hurt my feelings- especially because I wasn't wrong in my perception. I felt ashamed & thought maybe if I were a different race I would have been treated with more respect. Also, when I went back to take a picture I noticed she added another yellow post-it saying the same misleading message! (Plz see image)..But I'm the ignorant one? I will have to think twice about shopping at Spouts if your employees are allowed to disrespect & bully us shoppers. I truly wonder how leadership would feel about her behavior. Sprouts is certainly my supermarket of choice, while they don’t always have the specific item for a recipe they do cover all the bases got regular everyday life. They have fresh produce, and plenty of meats and fish all for a reasonable (on the higher end) price. It’s also convenient and easy to find everything although some spices have been hard to find due to my short stature.

The manager here needs to be fired. Regular shopper here for the past 11 months or so. Major staffing issues. I'd guess there's some hiring problems and staff turnover due to COVID, but uncertain. Produce is not often stocked well, but the major problem is that the cashier system is flawed. Checkout lines are insane.

Always have what I want, the employees in the meat department are fantastic. Could use some more employees but it’s always a great experience.

I don't think anyone who actually cooks shops at this store. It's sort of a Whole Foods knockoff with an emphasis on Sprouts-branded generics. Good selection of plant-based meat and dairy alternatives, though.

Great produce selection and produce is usually inexpensive. Meat and some other items are more expensive but worth it. Bulk candy and nuts are a nice convenience. Very good service. Clean store.

Raw milk and inexpensive Epsom salts make Sprouts my regular spot. A great market. Probably the lowest price point of Trader Joe’s, Berkeley Bowl, and Berkeley Natural Grocery. You won’t rely on Sprouts for your produce but staples and supplies are great.
