I don't know why Hobie in Brazil, based in Porto Belo, doesn't answer the phone or answer emails. I know several people who report the same. It seems they don't want to sell, they hide.

I tried to set up a tour to see how hobie makes their kayaks. Unfortunately you can't do that. You have to be a vendor. I was thinking of buying one. Now I'm going a different direction. I live in Texas and was in the area visiting family.

So I purchased a new 2017 Hobie PA 12. First time I took it out on the water I it was great on the water but.........when I got off the water I looked inside and there was about 1/2 a gallon of water inside the hull. I called Hobie to see if this was a know issue or if they had any advice. They told me to return it to the dealership I bought it from, I explained to the person whom I spoke with that it was 3&1/2hrs away. I also told him the is a dealership right down the road from me but I didn't purchase it there because the state I bought it in has no sales tax. I asked him if he would try and help me out and speak to the dealership near my house and ask them to take a look at the boat. He told me that wasn't something he felt he should do and didn't want to get involved with the stores. That's a petty crappy answer considering I'm supporting his brand and buying the most expensive kayak on the market. I guess I was hoping for too much asking for a company to help you out after you buy their product and they have your money. I will never buy another Hobie product again! I fixed the problem by taking all the hardware on the bottom off and siliconing it. Thanks for nothing Hobie
