Everything was perfect, from the crispy bacon in the omelettes to the homemade sausage gravy! But all the raves about the toast/bread are legit. It tastes like senorita bread, only thick sliced like Texas toast. They even sent us home with an entire loaf, and we've already planned all the ways to enjoy it! We can't wait to come back!

Inside was well lit and comfortable, service was a little slow, was told to try the toast (who says try the toast ). OOO my God try the toast, I also had the chicken fried steak & eggs with potatoes. Food was good Try the toast .

I’ve been eating here since I was a child. 😊 they haven’t changed a bit! I used to eat at the Vallejo location with my parents after church. Cozy American atmosphere. The clattering of plates and chatter amongst happy locals is somewhat soothing. Always friendly staff. Some of their best items: -California crab sandwich -Club sandwich -California omelette -strawberry pancakes -Blueberry pancakes -Bacon waffles -Kids pancake Always a joy!

Came in around 11am and the place was pretty full but we were seated rather quickly as a table opened up. First server gave us menus and asked us what we wanted to drink. 10 minutes later a different server came to take our order we ordered 2 chicken fried steak breakfasts and then we waited. About 25-30 minutes go by and no one has come back to check on us and so I go up to the register and ask how much longer till we get our food. Lady at the register said a little bit longer because they were so busy, I said but we have been waiting over 20 minutes and no one has even said anything to us. She then says some people have been waiting over 40 minutes for their food. I asked why no one told us the wait was going to 40 plus minutes for food and she said you can see we only have a few people working (which you can not see from table I was at). I asked to just cancel our order and pay for our drinks so we could go and the lady at the register started talking to the server who took our order about it. Now I don't know if the server was yelling at me because it was very loud in there or if she was angry because we wanted to cancel our order but she said no charge for the drinks and to just go. I can't say if they were just bad today or if this is how they always are, all I can say is I'm never dining here again.

Wonderful breakfast here in Joy Of Eating! I think we've found our go to "hole in the wall" that we've been looking for. Martha is the sweetest waitperson ever! She was very attentive. We will come back here for sure.

First timer and enjoyed it! Yes "the bread" is a must try! Take some to go! Customer service is excellent. Food was great. I enjoyed the Suisun scramble with toast. Hubby enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. Outdoor seating with heat lamps. Parking street side. Great waterfront location.

Dinning outside these days always has challenges, things you cannot foretell. . . . wind. It was beautiful when I got there about 10:30 about as I was getting ready to leave it started to get a bit breezy. As for the food is a tradition. I had the French toast combo but with 2 eggs (who orders just 1?) Anyway everything was cooked perfect; the bacon was just the right amount of crunch right before being over cooked and very tasty the eggs were perfect and the French toast ah well I guess thats how its cooked there, looked perfect but seemed a little undercooked on the inside and personally if they have them with cinnamon I'd go for that as its a bit bland - I've never said that about French toast but it was. Coffee was good. The place is busy so plan accordingly 😌 they could dedicate 1 person for drink replenish duty as I ran out of coffee 1/2 through my meal.

I came here a couple years ago and got the french toast. Here lately, I couldn't stop thinking about it every time I would eat french toast at home. I came back it it was just as good, if not better. They are so friendly and kind. They are really great at taking care of you as a waiter/ress. Can't wait to come again.
