Terrible experience. I went in to sell at 4pm and it still wasn’t done by closing time which is 9pm, after being told it’d take 3 hours. They made us drive back the next day and their offers were ridiculous. Don’t waste your time selling here

Really terrible selling experience. Lazy workers who don’t actually check what you have to sell. Brought in some good quality clothes that have rarely been worn. They straight up said that there were stains and misisng buttons. They didn’t accept any of the clothes. They were also rude in general. And the overall shopping experience also sucks.

Only reason I gave this place an extra star is because I find good items to buy. But other than that, everything else is horrible! Especially if you want to sell clothes!! I’m in my early 20s and have brought trendy items in, I’ve taken in two tote bags full of trendy and good condition clothes!! They gave me $5 for 8 items one time!! Don’t waste your time coming in here to sell anything because they will just low ball you. They’re biased when it comes to looking through your clothes too! DO BETTER!!

Loved this store when they opened but it’s gone downhill so fast. Still a *decent* place to buy… But unless the things you’re selling are from your garage & look like they belonged in the early 2000s, you’ll have little luck selling anything here. Items I’ve taken in have been passed over compared to very outdated Y2K style clothes. If you follow them on Instagram it becomes frustrating watching their stories advertising what they have bought off people and selling back. Last time I went in I brought 2 large tote bags worth of items matching stuff that was on their racks, yet only 3 items were picked for only $6. $6!! Y’all gotta do better. Not everyone cares about reviving early 2000s style. Buy for other styles instead of hyper focusing on one trend that your staff likes.

I’m very unhappy. I took 2 bags of clothes that are full of very trendy clothes because you guys only take trendy teenage clothes. I saw tons of non trendy clothes in there such as very old gym shark leggings that look very different from the trendy ones they sell now,old untrendy pink clothes that looked like it was from the 2010s, etc. My clothes seemed much more trendy and I was shocked they only took one item out of about 20 ish. You guys also post trendy lululemon and trendy gym shark and other trending brands on your story to make it look like you have a lot of it but you don’t. I saw one lululemon and old gym shark leggings.

I'm really disappointed with them I came with 2 big bins of clothes and they only took 8 of my items and gave me $26 I think this is really unfair because the other items were in perfect condition and they were stating that they weren't accepting these items at that time

This is a great place to shop and convenient to sell. I used to sell my used clothing at a place in Sacramento and always said vacaville needs a convenient consignment store in the area. The only downfall I can say is it seems the workers there may be choosing styles depending on what they like. Fashion is a wide range of styles and a lot of the kids that work there have I would say a grungy style. Not that it’s wrong it’s just not for everyone. I follow many fashion bloggers that wear and advertise pieces that were particularly like what I brought in and had no idea why they didn’t choose to resell them. Almost that my style seemed a little classier than what they wanted. I Would request that the employees there would Have more of an open mind down they already have two what they will choose. And not just base it off of what they would wear. Other than that it is a great place to shop.

Of the various Plato’s Closets I’ve been to across the States, this one is one of the better ones in terms of store organization and cleanliness. Hopefully it stays that way! Lots of variety for different styles, and the pricing is affordable and appropriately priced. Only criticism is in regard to the selling process. Long story short: It seems like the luck of the draw based on who is looking through your items, so the buying process seems a little inconsistent. I’ve gone in to sell a few times since this location opened, sometimes with the same clothes. All were neatly folded and freshly washed, gently used with no stains/tears, and (seemingly) current. But in one visit where I brought in clothes that got passed up, the next time a few of the items were then bought. When I looked at what got passed on versus the items on the racks/posted on their Instagram, I was confused as to why some clothes were skipped since they were either equally trendy/in-style.

Nice store good price & organized. But I give 4 stars because my daughter and I feel I I little discriminated by the cashier. They should treat everyone the same regardless of their nationality.
