Came here to celebrate our anniversary and we could have never picked a better place. The menu is brilliant and so is the chef! Seriously he should be on Chefs Table on Netflix or have 3 Michelin stars. Every dish was truly thought out, creative and unique. We were able to try ingredients we have never tried before and loved them, the way things were paired together was a masterpiece and so were the plate designs. The drinks were amazing too as well as the rest of the staff! They were so welcoming, professional and attentive. The price is worth it. We had such an great experience and will definitely come back here next time we are in Breckinridge. Not exaggerating, 11/10. You should eat here.

Ha! Wow! Just when we thought all the delicious places were booked! We wandered into here with 8 starving men and women—and although they were mostly booked they didn’t hesitate to creatively suggest the bar. Now—this is a several course meal mind you, so what was my worry? Is the bar tender even up to this rather knowledge-intensive task? HECK YES! Will didn’t skip a beat—suggestions on pairings and explanations of dishes—WILL knew what was up. I even had him decide on all my courses—and it was excellent. To which he paused—thought—-and then goes…”yup”. Decadent, gourmet, and great—it was a stellar 3 course meal at a bar. No reservations. #fire

Just love this place. Particularly love sitting at the bar, having some apps, chatting with interesting people, oh and yeah, drinks. Super friendly staff and a psychedelically creative chef combine for a very pleasant evening. If you come in, check at the bar and say hi!

Modern restaurant with a creative twist to all of their food. Sometimes the food felt pretentious and overdone, but when the interesting combos work, they work incredibly well. Kudos for trying either way. Note: not cheap. Dinner was a $75 Prix fixe menu

We dined at Ember for our anniversary. The chef (owner) sent complimentary champagne to help us celebrate. Both the maitre d and our server were delightful and very helpful - we were well taken care of throughout the meal. The chef's current 3 course pre-fix is innovative in flavor layering and global in its inspiration. We adored every bite! The ambiance adds to the experience of the meal, and we are new, enthusiastic fans. Can't wait to return!

Visited Ember for a birthday dinner celebration. They went above and beyond for us and had lovely fun/playful staff. We were lucky enough to get a table in one of their “igloos” and share a three course meal. Wonderful dish proportions and creative flavors. Only minus was their cocktails definitely seemed like an afterthought and could be revamped.

The four of us had dinner at Ember in August to celebrate a birthday and it was phenomenal. Ember is my favorite type of restaurant: Chef owned and operated. And Chef Scott impressed us all with his unique and wonderful flavor combinations on every course. To complement the food, the service was excellent. I'll highly recommend Ember for any special occasion, or even for just when you're craving something unique and exceptional.

Truly excellent. I was excited by the menu but wasn't sure what to expect on the plate. I've been been left hungry by upscale restaurants before, not the case at Ember. Good portions for the price and the food was excellent. The variety of items prepared, all cooked perfectly was really impressive. Highly recommend it, can't wait to come back.

My husband and I spent the weekend in Breck for our anniversary. It was an impromptu trip so I didn't book any reservations ahead of time. After reading many reviews for $$$ or $$$$ in Breck I decided to try and get a reservation at Ember. We were able to get one and looked forward to a fine dining experience in one of the best towns in Colorado. FOOD -The restaurant was only offering the pre fixe menu of two courses for $50 or three courses for $60. I knew this going into the meal and had an idea of what I wanted to order. Kindle (Appetizer) - Gluten Free Arugula Salad: fuji apple crisps, truffle tremor goat cheese, crystalized macadamia, smoked soy balsamic, edamame and polenta croutons. I opted to skip the edamame and polenta croutons because they are prepared with gluten containing foods (I can't remember if it's a shared fryer or a shared prep area...). Without the croutons, I paid $25 for lettuce, cheese, apples, nuts and a sauce that lacked any unique flavor and balance (likely missing a salty flavor from the croutons). Blaze (Main Course) - Gluten Free Iberico Pork: golden raisin chutney, cauliflower, apricot and madras curry sauce. The pork was chewy. One piece was seasoned well (salt and pepper) the other was not. The lemongrass and curry flavors were not my favorite (preference). -------- Kindle (Appetizer) - Not [prepared] Gluten Free Lamb Cheeks: wasabi beet gnocchi, shishito pesto, garlic molasses gelee', cucumber salad, miso butterscotch sauce. My husband's review was "Quite good. Flavorful, cooked well, balanced.". Blaze (Main Course) - Not Gluten Free Mango and Brie Empanada: tamale, black bean puree', creamed calabaza and corn, heart of palm salsa, orange-annato coulis with additional scallops. My husband's review was "Hard to eat. To ride to untie it but couldn't. Scallops were the best part.". AMBIANCE -The restaurant is dimly lit and from the outside and entryway looks like what I would expect of a fine dining restaurant. As we were escorted to our table, nestled quite closely to the other tables, I sat on the bench seat and immediately noticed that my view included a window that looked directly onto a garage (or something similar) and a DUMPSTER. Every time I looked over my husband's shoulder, I saw a dumpster and was taken out of the "mood" of the restaurant. The art and general decor is interesting and a good topic of conversation. They had one small candle on the table, no music, no real ambiance...nothing that made it stand out. The dress code seemed to be "Colorado casual". A few people were dressed up but only if their whole table was. Most had on sneakers, comfy but stylish pants or shorts and short sleeves shirts. We will not be returning.
